Wow Phil, another brilliant video of the day, great to catch you today at summerseat, hope you had a great day and it is super to see these icons of steam today, cheers Steve .
Wow Phil this must be one of the best videos I've watched, I csn almost smell the smoke and the soot in my eyes, Sir Nigel and Brittania together is pure magic, thanks for bringing back the memories😢 😢
Fantastic double heading. I probably walked past you not knowing. Shame it was so rainy on that first trip, I did not take this train all the way back again so I could get a bit of Leander haulage.
Worth getting wet for. Once upon a very wet Llangollen Railway Day, I was riding up close and personal behind my beloved Foxcote Manor. This is a true story, it happened a long time ago. I had my head stuck out of the door window, and wound up looking like a drowned rat. "Aren't you soaked enough already?" asked my one true love. "No shower of rain is gonna stop me staring at you," came the reply. I didn't put my head in apart from going through Berwyn Tunnel of course. It's a miracle I didn't catch a cold. Some things in life are worth getting wet to see. Sir Nigel Greasebag and Britannia are one of them.
Great video Phil I’m heading there today but I’ll sadly miss the double header but it’s ok it will be an amazing event Either way. Maybe see you there if you’re there 😂.
Hi there, I am a huge fan of this channel, and when I watch your ELR videos I quite often see you have filmed my train and I can never think back to the crowd to remember if I saw you. Will you be there today? 16.3.24. Really like the channel
There’s a 14 year gap between sir Nigel gresley been built in 1937 by the LNER by the designer who has his name and Britannia been built in 1951 3 years after British railways was formed in 1948
I hope both locos get scrapped, so it doesn't matter if I didn't see them today! screw you steam enthusiasts! heritage railways are not interesting, start filming proper modern trains! like pendolinos, IETs etc. I had a bad day, so I couldn't make it onto this
Stunning rail video! Awesome images Steam Locomotives in action! Lovely train ride! Thumbs Up

Yes, better with sng leading
@@philclarke3203yes because of the Bugatti shaped nose end of the loco that allows the wind the pass over the top of the engine

If only there was a way that photoshop could get rid of bald heads.
Haha true! Mine included 😂
