Alright guys, sorry about the brief hiatus, but we are back on track this week with videos!!
I'm stoked as hell about this last weekend, so much so that I wanted to get these videos made and out before the ones that I was already working on for this week :D
We had a fantastic patron weekend down here in FL, and I'd like to thank everyone that made it out for one or both days to ride and hang. A MASSIVE Thanks has to be given to both Ken and Joe who really were the reason this weekend happened as they reserved a campsite and invited me out a while back. Little did they know that would turn into a whole crew sleeping over!!
Anyway, I hope everyone is getting off on the right foot this week, and if not, well, I got you covered with a little slice of fun singletrack here. So sit back, relax, and try not to get caught by your boss while watching this at work :P
LFRHGS!!!
Swamp dogs!!! This was a really really cool ride, dude. You looked PRO on those jumps. I’ll get there eventually!
love your channel too
Yes! Some good shots of those jumps, that a noob can play back over and over, taking notes.
Looks fun! Usually a trail side tightening of the bolts will take care of the squeak until you can get home and clean them up.
Great video. Ridge line is one of my favorite trails in the area. If you can get down to Ft. Lauderdale you have to ride Markham Park. So much fun. Seth can tell you all about it.
It's funny how you keep going on the trail . When everybody stopped & take a break. Get tht flow on!!!
It's really cool how your showing all the trails in Florida, really shows there is trails here, you should try graham swamp in pal coast, so much fun there, go there every week and never get bored
Alex, we just rode Balm Boyette ridgeline for the first time today, wow just wow. Great channel my brother. Keep the stoke coming, we really enjoy it.
Looks like a fun trail--glad you added shots like at the 11:40 mark!
I saw that same alligator when I was there last month. He was sitting in basically the same spot. Great video!
WHAT'S UP SAMPLERS!! Sorry about the disappearing act last week, did ya miss me? No worries though, we are right back at it this week with some new episodes to raise those stoke levels 🤯🤟
Been waiting all week!
Hey Alex have you seen BCPov's van build so far?
Always lookin forward to da Sampler !!!!!!!👀👀
That seems like a dope place to ride. I hope to meet and ride with you the next time you're in Bentonville AR. I pray that you stay safe in your journeys and that you get your van. Ride on, bro!
I like the variety of each state's interpretation of what a mt. bike trail should be like. Thanks for showing us other people's dream trails.
Nice to see ya riding our home trails, man! I know Alafia is your home trail too! Balm is just so much flowy fun. I'm headed there now! Love ya man! Stay stoked.^~^
We call them carnivorous moguls. Haha. Glad you had fun!
Love doing that last climb on South Abyss. So many great trails at Boyette. Nice job Alex. And fix that squeak !
First I gotta figure out where it is coming from!
🐭 in the frame haha .. love the look of these Florida trails with the Ferns 👌🏽
+S Rao pretty cool right? Like Jurassic Park!
I’m on the stationary bike at least twice a week! Keep it together over the winter and double down on the diet.
Bud was ripping on that Giant hardtail, but dropping that post would surely help! :) That place looks fun!
Just stumbled on your channel, really enjoying the footage especially on my home trails Loyce Harpe (formerly Carter rd) Alafia, and Balm boyette. Been out of the scene for 20 years or so, and getting back into it now with my son. Your vids get me pumped about riding again!!!
Man your jumping skills are getting legit!!!
Watching you look down at the camera just then, made me remember my Oakley jaw breaker prizm sunglasses I used to wear when I was riding, thought i lost them but I found them :) thank you for jogging my memory where they were haha
Alex, great video's dude. Last weekend I got my first MTB, thanks to you guys. O no, thanks to myself. Whatever. You get it. A road cyclist turning MTB-er as well. Had a few rides in the forest last weekend, and it's just great.
+bas Huck ya bother!!! You're going to have so much fun man 🤘🔥🍻
Alex, sweet video man, the food at the end looked frikin amazing lol thanks for sharing the fun dude =)
"Don't mind me, I've just got a baby mouse in my pack" - Haha we've all been there and we all hate those times!
dude it is inspiring to see you skilled up everyday. that is awesome. have to ride hard to catch u up!
Alex. Dude the Release model Rock the house BUT they really like clean and property tourqued pivots. I used timkin wheel bearing grease.
Quiet and smooth
Nice riding. Looking at your videos now, I can't get over how much your riding has progressed. Kinda gives me hope that mine will catch up to what I'd like it to be eventually too.
Dude, you are my kind of people. I’m not a patron yet, but if you ever come to Utah again it would be fun to catch a ride. I’m a totally noob though. Haha! Maybe I’ll be better by the time you get back out West.
That trail is so unique looking. I think I will have to check that out one day.
It's almost like Jurassic Park back in there with all the lush ferns and wildlife :P
I enjoyed this video man, riding mtb to me comes with awesome outdoors activity like hiking camping and drink ale beer, glad to see it on ur vid!
Gators at BB, Carter Rd. and Alifia can be massive! Big Momma is the most famous gator I believe. I got great shot of a monster at Carter Rd.! Luckily we all stopped in time!
Great to see you keeping that stoke level high my friend. Keep sending it!
Love those videos 'cause trails are very very similar to the one I usually ride, since I live in the flattest land of Italy the "backyard trails" are along the main river of the area, in which the builders try to get the most from the very few uphill parts there are :D
10:51 the GOLDEN MTB quote
Sounds like you were riding with a bird on your shoulder.... lol!
Looks like a fun and refreshing trail...
Now your at my stomping grounds Fractured my Ribs on Ridgeline on the Plunge a few years back. Enjoy
Yah boi! When your up in Georgia we will be ready to shred
Yeah. Ya know I drop everything I'm doing when there is a new Sampler Vid 🤘. Ride looked super fun
Glad to see you back after your week off brother!
That looked fun. Maybe I need to visit my snowbird parents down there!!
It's not a bad way to spend the winter
Say the truth: you had one of Drama's squeaky toys with you on that ride.
Sounded like a cricket.
I had a creak on my Release 3. It just needed grease on the shock bolts which were bone dry. Definitely can be annoying.
It's so relaxing out there , when I go I stay all day.
This trail reminds me of Fantasy Island in Tucson AZ. If you’ve never been to Tucson, you should put that on your list.
Will do
The diamondback shreds🤟🤟 might look into getting one.
When you said one of the hardest things about riding after a few weeks is your taint😂🤣
It also reminded me of your
"A Taint of Steel" episode LMAO
+DonD512 😂😂😂 it's the truth
What’s the best place to get a mountain bike for a decent price in the Tampa area? I’m so hyped! I didn’t know trails like this existed in Florida I’m absolutely blown away
That wall ride in the start....very nice
+GurnakeDaSnakeMon 👌
Chirp, chirp. How’s Poppy? Trail looks fun. I’d imagine that place floods in a bad storm though eh? Camp feast looked solid.
This time not at work, but last 1 1/2hr live stream killed my data there. I blame you but thank you! Lol
Awesome video! Nice shot @11:40!
I'm always so impressed with those Florida trails. Whodathunkit?
Amanda must know those trails. No hesitation.
Alex that squeak is driving me batty 🦇🦇
That climb at 11:00 is awesome
Im gonna like this before I even watch it just for the fact that im stoked to see a video posted!
Stoked to be posting Brian, it felt weird going a week without making a video!!
Yo, do a patron ride at Palo Duro Canyon in TX. You could do it then drive 4 hrs and do a lot of crazy stuff at Angel Fire! Would be fun and trails are freaking awsome
Yeap fellas..9:16 alligators on the trail..my worst fear in Florida's trailer..specially if they are right on the trail..great video. Post a vid if you head down to Markham.
Man those guys kept getting in your way 😂
So stoked to see a new video out bro🤘 love it brother
Thanks Kyle!
You need to make it to Alexandria Louisiana for 50 miles of nice single track .
I haven’t done much of mountain biking 😭 I’ve been riding 3 months done gator pit al those tough ones but after covid I cried
Alex please tell Seth to get ahold of that diamondback dh frame and do a bike build! Maybe he can get one for you too?
Keep living the dream bro
Great video bud! Greetings from the UK!
Two of my friends were at balm boyette that day, I was supposed to go but couldn’t, boyette is next on the list. You guys are awesome 👏 SMEASH. One wants to know if you could hook him up with some Diamondback 😂
Look at 11:47 what trail is that??
Another awesome video. Asheville, NC trip next week. Going to be a good time.
Hell yea dude, you are going to have SO MUCH FUN!!
I wish one day be able to do a group ride with you, so much fun and friendship. As always so cool vibs. Thx for the ride.
Come join us at Snow Hill Mountain Bike trails near Oviedo Florida!
Please come to England I know so many trails near me and will show you them all
Hey, Alex! It's been a while, man! Started getting worried for ya! Haha!
I'm going to be paying super close attention to these Florida videos. It's looking very much like I'll be moving out to Orlando in the next month or two. Speaking of which, if you're in the Orlando area in April, let me know. Meeting up with you would be a super rad way of starting my life in Florida.
5:38 - Whoa! OMGOSH, did you catch her off guard. Haha!
6:20 - You mention how fast you can lose your fitness here, and I totally feel your pain. I'm finally able to start getting back on the trail after two months recovering from a broken clavicle, and it's hard. I'm trying to get back on the bike at least four times a week, but it's hard.
9:15 - THIS is what I will be worrying about the most when I get to Florida. I can't help but think one of those things is going to eat me.
13:08 - Dude! I need to camp with you guys. That food looks epic!
Alex, this is one of the most helpful videos I have seen to date. I find it so because you're showing me places I'll be able to ride when I get out there. I was afraid I'd be leaving behind some great stuff to ride when I move from Arizona. But it appears the Florida has a few options to offer up, as well. I think I'll get the opportunity to ride stuff I don't have here in Sierra Vista. So thank you for sharing these, and I am definitely looking forward to your video about Alafaya. That looks like it's going to be real close to my new home.
Stay upright and keep the rubber side down!
#lfrhgs
-Brian
Free Range MTB you should also check out graham swamp about an hour away from Orlando, it's seven miles of technical trails with fun jumps, drops and climbs. About half a mile is still closed from the hurrice though
Thanks, man! I will definitely check this out when I get out there!
Been a couple of weeks so it's good to get my Singletrack Sampler fix!!
Alex, how long have you been riding? You are so confident in all the burns, steep decents and jumps
Some of those pivot squeaks sounded like tiny people saying "smeeash"
Hey I know this is an older video but wondering if you have recommendations for mtb gloves? Im a newer rider but have been practicing on some intermediate trails without gloves. Looking to buy some that are not over 40$ if you have any ideas, thanks!
Group rides are the best, even for a video
Sick tracking shots at the STAAHT, kid!
Some hardcore bikes for such a soft trail
Sick video, squeak squeak! 😅😂
Looks like i missed on out some stellar BBQ and campsite fun. Good riding though! Solid squad!
Joe we missed ya man, it was a great night of camping and shenanigans for sure
That ride wore me out! I was beat! I think i fell asleep by 10 that night! haha
Saturday wore me out as well. Sunday on the other hand kicked my ass.
Yeah, I may have been crash entertainment on Sunday. lol
Don't worry Ken took care of that part for you. He decided to take about a 15 foot fall. He and his bike are fine though
Do you have a jumping tutorial? I could never understand how to pivot in the air to match the landing how you did in the beginning of the video.
Ride in phx az. South mnt and hawes trail.
2:50 it's not linkeage squick, You've got a squirell under your kickstand mount ;-p
Sucks, in just had an ad card crap out. Took me a bit to figure out why my gopro wouldn't work. Turned out to be a corrupted card. First time I had a problem. I thought it was just the cold.
Any way to deal with this besides carrying am extra card? I use quality Gopro recommended cards.
Dang bro, your channel exploded !!!
it might be that your rear linkage might be loose or may need servicing probably??
Couldn't help but notice, Is this the one where seth rode it alone? And where he tested a gravel bike?
The squeak could be the rear shock shims
Had this been filmed in the evening I would have thought crickets not your bike
Sweet vid... I have to laugh though.. It sounds like u were smuggling a squeeky toy... Lol
+Mez Martinez 😂😂😂😂
YES NEW STS VIDEO SMEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSHHHHHHH!!!!!
Fuck yeah waiting for this video all week damn what a video.
Good look
Fuck i ment luck
sorry
If you want a relatively easy trail and big gators check out hillsbourough state park
Some hardtails on that ride, how did they do? Any real difficulties? were they able to keep up?
Stoke levels revived yo! 🤘 Ey Poo-bah's isn't that the Gators' name?
Looked like fun was had by all. Jealous of Alex's jump skills now.
Hey man so I’m pretty new to the sport I’ve ridden north creek at Alafia and was considering Balm Boyette this weekend what would you recommend between those 2 parks?
That squeak 🤣🤣
Good job Alexander keep up awesome job.
Damn the squeak!
Patron rides look rad
