Just realized that is the first time I’ve actually seen a hole in a tree nest after all those years as a kid drawing trees with a hole in the trunk for no reason because I felt it always needed to be there. Funny how books just shape how you portray things to be even if you don’t see it often yourself.
When you held up the dad shorts, I was not convinced they would be high waisted or have a long enough inseam, but the moment you put them on, it was magic! They fit perfectly!

It’s expensive-ish, but it’s a staple that you can wear regardless of the season (just picture the cute fall fits!) and it’s still functional and allows you to be actively engaged with your kids without having to worry about clothing getting in the way.
Listen, I can spend 60 dollars on sushi easily. I find that people are willing to spend the money in food then in clothes. Keep what makes you feel good. My mom always says, if you feel good in what you bought, it's money well spent.
