Fire Academy Week 3

In this video the Class Coordinator Shawn Sinclair, walks us through the third week at the Mississippi State Fire Academy.
Instructors Dustin Turner and Xavier Jacobs commend class 211 on their tenacity, and eagerness to learn!
On Monday the students studied through chapter 15, which covers various topics such as Fire Hose, Appliances, & Nozzles.
On Tuesday the Instructors lectured on chapter 16, which covers Supply Line & Attack Line Evolutions.
That afternoon the students went hands on to learn more about chapters 15 & 16.
On Wednesday morning, the students went over chapter 17, which covered Fire Suppression.
That afternoon the recruits had their first fire in the burn building. Everything went smoothly and they applied their knowledge from the classroom into a real life situation!
On Thursday morning the students went into the burn building once more except the instructions threw a curve ball at them!
The students quickly realized that a victim was present, then the fire suppression drill evolved into a rescue drill!
The students succeeded in their rescue drill and this concluded week 3 at The Mississippi State Fire Academy!
