    I was diagnosed with IBS after extensive medical tests. Doctors shrugged me off and said eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. After hearing about Mikhalia and Jordan Peterson eating nothing but beef I did an elimination diet and discovered stone fruits (Peaches, Apricots, Mangos, Plums, Nectarines, Cherries and Olives) were causing all my IBS symptoms. My digestion is now perfect. Many thanks to the Petersons! A big FU to the doctors who gave me the wrong advice and don't even care about digestion issues because they can't prescribe drugs to fix it.

      Oh, I'm so glad people are getting better despite the unhelpful medical system. 😑My story is so similar to yours, but I've got lucky with the last specialist I visited. I was diagnosed with IBS, and the doctor sadly added that only diet can somehow moderate my symptoms. He recommended the FODMAP diet, which basically changed my life for the better. After 15 years of suffering! 🎉

    I got to meet your dad earlier this year during his book tour but didn’t get the opportunity to express to him how much he has helped me. My dad was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor in early 2017. My mother, who had been on SSRIs and benzodiazepines for decades, abruptly stopped taking them due to the stress and she was never able to recover despite multiple hospitalizations. I lost both of them within 6 months of each other. Because your dad opened up about his struggles, I was better able to understand what my mom went through and how little of it was in her control. Thank you both for being so open about the dangers of these medications.

      @@AlannaZackrison great suggestion! Sauna's are extremely helpful and it's been life saving for me. I've dealt with mold and lyme plus multiple serious autoimmune all of which are in remission. The sauna doesn't kill the mold it opens up a detox pathway via sweat. You still need to bind the mycotoxins especially if you're doing a sauna. Another important aspect is that you really want to make sure your gut is in good condition as this is the primary pathway for excreting mycotoxins.

    I live in Bali with my wife, which is amazing, however the tropical environment is a rife breeding ground for mold, which is a problem particularly for my wife's health. Black mold exposure is a serious health problem. My brother and I were exposed as children for a few years in our flat and both ended up having asthma and other auto-immune diseases through childhood. Fortunately, we found the mold in our home and were able to remove it, which helped our immune systems a lot and made us both more resilient again. Thanks for pointing out black mold as a cause, it really could be eye-opening to some, if that's the reason they struggle with auto-immune conditions.

I made it known my motherly role was extremely important. I still had a few jerks I dated but when I found my husband he understood and respected. It also helped him know I wasn’t going to play games, I was ready to settle down. He was 29 and I was 23. My daughter was almost 2. I feel like I hit the jack pot all the time. My friend, I just wanna say you are wrong about the having kids thing. I had my kids at your age, but I work at a daycare, with toddlers since 10 years, and 80 to 90 per cent of the mother are ALL older than 35.
      Which means I very rarely meet a mom younger than 35, and I met hundreds of mums at this point.
      I dnt know what is going on with you guys in America or what kind of culture you have but the average age in Europe is late 30s to early 40s
      My own mum married my dad at 37 and started to have kids around 39.
      She had 4 healthy pregnancies and unmedicated home births.
      Its a bit dangerous to tell people to have kids as early as possible just thinking of their body, because it went well for you, your dad is famous and rich and you made it work , but advising young people who may not have a truly stable partner or MOST IMPORTANTLY who may not have grown enough psychological to be a mom, is dangerous and it leads to broken homes, just because of having a very wrong understanding of the human body.

      @@Agape122people in the Americas start having kids in their teens and twenties, and up into the thirties and beyond. It really depends on what your demographics, education, and culture are. The women I’ve met that have kids at an older age are usually professionals who wanted to establish a solid career before having kids, but it’s very diverse across the pond.
      I had my kids at 25 and 27, and I’m very glad I did because I don’t have the same energy now that I had then. My kids are 18 and 16 now, and are very self sufficient. But to each their own 😊

Went on several other meds after that until I was eligible for Dupixent. It has absolutely changed my life. I inject myself twice a month. If your insurance covers it, I highly recommend it (because it’s very expensive). It also works for arthritis.

    I had my daughter at 22. I’m now 32. When I look at my childless sisters who are a couple of years younger than me, I can see how having children now would be more difficult for them at this age, than it was for me at 22. They have very established habits, very set in their ways and used to complete independence, and a child would just change all of that dramatically. I have grown with my child, and have never had to adapt my independence, since I didn’t really have anything going on at 22. I have never known anything else.
    I have never gotten used to that freedom that my sisters have - and will have to give up when or if they have kids. I think that can potentially make a person resentful towards their kid. My daughter is almost 10 and is becoming more and more independent, which makes me more and more able to do things I want to do.
    The longer you wait the harder it will be to adapt. The same with relationships. If you are used to doing everything your own way, you have to find someone who is compatible with your habits, which is very difficult.

      Most studies have shown that people that have children later on in life give the child a better upbringing and there are many factors that contribute to this such as maturity of the parent and financial stability. I’m not saying you weren’t able to provide this for your child but statistically it’s not a bad thing to wait until you are more ready to have children

    • @fevertreelover
      @fevertreelover 9 месяцев назад +10

      🎯 I completely agree. And I'm one of those childless people. It would be a massive adjustment now. Anyone who denies this isn't being honest with themselves.

    • @ritz6982
      @ritz6982 9 месяцев назад +9

      @@Xenix005 At 22 the body is most able to carry and birth a child. It is the natural age to become a mother. The reason why it can be more difficult socially is because we as a society have lost the true sense of community around each and every family. Humans have never brought up their children alone, but with help of the whole extended group. I don’t think being a young parent in itself is a factor in how a child will come out eventually. I think the reason why there is a correlation is because young mothers nowadays are usually part of socially and economically vulnerable groups. It’s more common to have children young in poor areas where life quality will be much lower. Middle class and above don’t have children early. That doesn’t mean it’s right to wait - and many many women wait too long. You ideally shouldn’t wait longer than 35 to be as physically able as possible.

    • @ritz6982
      @ritz6982 9 месяцев назад +8

      @@fevertreelover I think it’s a very biological and evolutionary thing in the end. We mature but also settle in our ways as we age. For 99.9% of humanity, children have naturally come early in a persons life. The whole concept of building a stable life, career, fulfilling yourself, FINDING yourself - this is very new. Only a few generations back, survival was the main goal of a persons life, not self fulfilment. It’s just how we have evolved and I think there are sometimes collisions between the lifestyles we want to have and the way we have evolved to react to life.

    I’m dealing with similar issues. I’ve seen a functional medicine specialist for over 8 years and treated gut dysbiosis, parasites, hormone imbalances, autoimmunity, etc. I reached peak health (and my goal weight) back in mid 2021. Shortly after, my family moved into our dream home (custom built, brand new construction) and I started getting sick again (ie gut issues, fatigue, skin changes, 35# weight gain). My practitioner suspected mold early on but my husband and I were in denial because our house was brand new and no one else was experiencing symptoms. @@alaricgoldkuhl155 indian person here.
      You are wrong about us. Yes we dont have divorces because most women would be on the streets with no food or basic protection if they divorce.
      Their families wont take them back if the husband is abusive , most of the times, as its a social shame for the family.
      The fact that we are stuck in many many ways with the person we are forced to marry, and that we have no way to divorce even if we would want to or even if its legal, doesnt mean we are happy.
      Prostitution increases, affairs, or couples who stick all their life together depleted of joy and not even touching each other for decades.
      That is why there is a crazy number of alcoholic man in Delhi or Mumbai , all those secret bars full of unhappy husbands.
      An arranged marriage may lack emotional investment or attachment, so as its a cold deal the fights sometimes may be less and when you have less passion and more of an...agreement, you can keep the peace easier than if you fall in love so deeply.
      The price for that thou, is a comfortable passionless life, a straight line where you dont experience deeper connection or passion for somebody.
      This is in case it goes right. When it goes wrong it literally destroys your life and just high cast can divorce without huge social rejection and re precautions.
      We also are not allowed to marry people from different religions, and in villages, people may kill their own ( som daugther) if they disgrace the family by marrying somebody from diferent cast.
      So we dont have a good model my friend. Believe me

    I had a 3 year black mold exposure hidden in the walls,under carpet and fireplace in an apartment. I got out of there in 2017 and finally think that after 6 years my chronic bronchitis it gave me is finally cleared. That’s such a blessing too because I thought I had it for life.
    By the way, it took a clean keto diet to get rid of the initial serious illness it gave me that nearly killed me. I had a very active bronchial flare for so long, plus nearly closed off sinuses, sleep apnea so bad I could barely even get to sleep before I’d wake from snoring so bad. I had bronchial spasms. And one UTI after another. Horrible!
    I started keto to lose weight but noticed 2 months in that I no longer snore and ALL those things and more went away. That’s when I realized it actually was a health protocol where you can also lose weight because that was happening too. Same with carnivore now.

    Super excited about Peterson Academy! My son is on the autistic spectrum and has lot of challenges. We learned so much the past few years. Gut health is such an important issue for these kids. Diet plays a major role just as detox does. Grains and diary are the usual suspects. Wish I could order some of your hubby’s supplements but we stay halfway across the world from you😢

    So glad you figured it out Mikhalia! I was dealing with health issues because of mold lately, and when I was hearing your family’s story about health, I couldn’t help but think it could very well be because of mold also. Hearing you now confirm this is relieving, as you are on the right track and hopefully back to full recovery so you can enjoy all the foods put on this earth. Mold is evil, and not recognized in the mainstream medical field much yet. You are doing all the mold sick community such a huge favor to spread the word! You have no idea! Thank you so much! Hope the medical field catches up soon and gets to the root cause of those diseases caused so many times by mold.

      It is SO insane to me that the American “health” system (if you can even call it that) refuses to acknowledge mycotoxins and parasites, which often go hand-in-hand, as possible root causes for many illnesses/symptoms. It’s ignorant, neglectful, and so disrespectful to any patient that’s suffering.

    Great to have you back, M. Keep healing up, we need your voice in this crazy world.
    PS. Ecological fresh sauerkraut juice contains really high levels of probiotic and is used in nordic countries against hangover which is in fact a mold overdose.

    • @ritz6982
      @ritz6982 9 месяцев назад

      No it’s not ‘mold overdose’. That’s nonsense. Hangover is a complex thing, but alcohol is toxic, so naturally you will be poisoned. Alcoholic first metabolites into acetaldehyde which is a class 1 carcinogenic and will make you feel poisoned (which you are).
      However. Sauerkraut is a fantastic food and easy to make at home. It is very high in vitamin C and used to save the lives of many sailors during long sails where scurvy was a real threat to life. It’s an amazing food that will make your life so much better, so there I absolutely agree.

    I'm a newbie at this. Just 16 days in. But I already have wins!! No more bursitis, I'm not winded, weight loss, less anxiety and just feel calm.
    I had a horrible diverticulitis attack that landed me in the ER twice in one week, two weeks ago.
    Told to eat fiber fibe fiber. As I started my research I realized I had bloody stools as a vegan four years ago and my gut always hurt. After putting the puzzle pieces together, I'm now on a carnivore diet and healing. I love your story and will be following you🙏

    OMGOODNESS: Thank you for the Carnivore Snacks info. I’ve been eating Tillamock beef jerky no sugar added. I purchased a GreenPan Slow Cooker/Air Fryer Combo $200 on Amazon. I’m in love with slow cooked beef only soup. My brain fog has cleared noticeably in 2 months. At this rate I’ll have my mind back by Xmas or sooner.

    Dr. Shoemaker's protocol for mold saved my life. I never leave home without cholestyramine and I always have to be conscious about the environments I go into. At the depths of mold poisoning, I was so sick and so sensitive that I couldn't be touched, I had to shower with sunglasses on b/c of photosensitivity and I could barely get out of bed. I recovered 90% from the Shoemaker protocol and the other 5% through supplementation / diet. My heart goes out to you and everyone going through mold poisoning. There is nothing worse than your body and physical home being unbearably toxic.

    My turnaround in dealing with chronic illness and disability was largely psychological reframing, but it means I am an unhealthy person with a healthy outlook. This enables me to contribute in a way I hope is valuable. I was in hospital and it was late at night on the ward. I had been told I wouldn't walk again, and it was clear that the damage that has been done now is going to have serious ramifications. In the darkness of the ward, I suddenly realised that I needed to stop worrying about what I can't do, and start learning and developing what I can. This is hardly startling or (I realise now) particularly original thinking, but it changed everything for the better.
    If I was asked for one piece of advice, aside from the above, it would be similar to something you said about the chances of being cured by a doctor being zero. I am literally alive today because I always check everything a doctor says. I find it difficult to understand why doctors are allowed to withhold information about your body. Surely we have a right to know what is going on in our own bodies? Never take anything a doctor says at face value. Check everything. It would be a useful educational course to show people how to study their health in an intelligent way.
    I am a theologian, not a medical scientist, so everything I discover I have rubber-stamped by a relevant medical professional. Having said this, I have not been wrong once. Doctors are going to have to realise that they can't hide behind complicated sounding medical terms now we have this thing called the internet. I was once in hospital for about three weeks waiting for a whole team of doctors to figure out what was wrong. It took a 17 year old girl who came to visit me 10 minutes on her smart phone to discover what it was. She was right.

    I'm 81 and I found over the years that whenever I get sick no matter how many doctors and specialists and therapists I see I end up curing myself. The latest example of this is I had serious diarrhoea for over a year. I got every imaginable test including a colonoscopy and they found nothing. I was really worried that I was not absorbing nutrients which is kind of a crucial thing at my age. To make a long story short I decided to try psyllium seed husks. That was six months ago and no more diarrhea!
