Nostalgic. Lived in Kampala for 3 years. It's incredible nightlife erases the torture of day-time traffic. Outside Kampala is unspoiled and refreshing vegetation. Uganda is endowed.
❤️
💙💚
Are you sure?
❤
The one place where people live and let live.
🇺🇬 🎉🎉 proud of you, no longer listen to the opinions of people who have never left thier comfort zone, am here for the journey ❤
Thank you! I learned to stopped listening to others long ago 🙏🏽
@@JulianAlbino you better ,look at you now a global citizen, you rocking the Madiba T-shirt mzansi representing I see you , keep them videos coming ❤️💯
. So true. Listening to people will keep you in perennial fear.
That's the kind of attitude we like!
@@JulianAlbino Oh they're making you do the mouth swab now instead of the nose ewwww thats a little bit better brother
I always complain about the traffic and disorder in Johannesburg CBD but this right here in Kampala has killed me!!! I wouldn't survive 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Yoh!
i was soooo shocked!! everyday?! like how?!! lol
Yup its crazy . Its a stampede of wild motor bikes and crazy taxi men, and theives feeling up your kabina and bags to snatch u up.🤣🤣🤣.. itll keep you in shape and on ya toes. 🤣..thats why not too many fat people in uganda. There always on the go watching out 🤣
I've been to alot of chaotic bodaboda cities in Africa but nothing beats the Kampala boda boda experience.
I went to high school in Uganda. I always dreaded commuting to school because it would take forever
@@daddyjasonssepuya4991 I went to school there and i saw plenty of obese people
The "roundabout" with sculpted "traditional drums" you pointed at is located in Mengo, it's called "Kabaka taweta" which translates "The King never turns", it has a direct route through, specifically for him(the king of Buganda-the Central part of the country) whereas other people go round it as its meant to be. The route traditionally moves direct from the King's main palace of Mengo to the Kingdom courts.
Look at my name.
@@MichaelMengo wow😊😊that's interesting, where do you come from?
Okay, I know I haven't been in Uganda in over 6 years but a lot has changed. Those flyovers that are being built 😱😱. Like when did it start? And also that was a good payday for the boda boda guy. 50K. I definitely do not miss the traffic and commotion in Kikubo lol
@@ayesigabright3760 I am your neighbour in Kenya
@@MichaelMengo that's wonderful brother👌
Im Ugandan and I absolutely dread going to DT Kampala. It's absolute chaos. The last I was there was 2020. All in all I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world. Love UG 🇺🇬
Albino am so proud ur in Uganda. Places to hit in kla
1. BUGOLOBI (Its a strip within KLa where the night life is fiiiiire, especially now that we heading into the weekend)Best time to go Friday evening to Sunday until late
2). acacia avenue, acacia mall for food
Outside of Kla u can hit jinja eastern ug for water rafting, binj jumping, tour of the Nile, boat cruise on the Nile
West of ug u can tour Murchison falls, chimpanzees, Mt gorilla's
All in all thanks for not listening to the negative media and going out there to tour mama Africa
Thanks so much!
But be careful not every one putting on good is good not all boda men are good be careful about thieves .some don't drive well. Don't just be friend every thing Julie nice stay
Where's your mama?
They say if you can drive in Kampala, then you can drive anywhere in the world😂
Exactly.I have been in KLA almost five months I said I will never try to drive bcz of the boda boda 😂
This is very true
😂😂😂😂😂
I love how you say "petrol " you're South African for sure🎉🤣
Nope, he's Ugandan. We also say petro here🙄🤣
You can't claim Julian as an African, sorry. He's an American, WE claim him He is touring Africa, he's not from there.
@@VibeWithVida stop with your negativity who doesn't know he's American? Anyways by nationality yes but fact that he's black 🖤 we can claim him oya shooopp...move over and continue staying in that racist country you not wanted over there and Europe constantly killed and told to go back to Africa shathaaap!
My mum always complains about the traffic in Kampala, I have never been there even though my parents are Ugandan, I will be visiting this december, this gave me a glimpse of Uganda, thank you Julian and I can't wait for more videos 💜💛💚

I will help u tour around if you don't mind please.. we shall cruise through d jam
Chaos meter: Jo'burg is mild, Nairobi's moderate, Kampala's seriously hectic...and Lagos is extreme. Shout-out to all those cities.
I think Nairobi is more chaotic than kampala
@@oraach Nope!
Word? Lagos is more chaotic than this?
@@oraach you clearly have never been to Nairobi, there is organised traffic and then there is this.
@@davidcornel2060 If you say so.... I live in Muchatha and I don't love going to the city... There is no spot in Kampala that Compares to that area between river road and the offshoots to kirinyaga Road and Yom Mboya..... Am I wrong? Oh I live in kampala too... And I don't like noth cities...😀😀😀😀
I am Ugandan and even I can’t go to those chaotic places you went to.😊 You are so lucky that you made it back from Kampala town with your camera/phone.😅 Glad to see you here in our beautiful country.🇺🇬 Enjoy!
I was looking for this comment. Like how did he make it back? lol
A tourist is always safe in Uganda when you move around with a professional tour guide
🤣
Indeed he luckily has made it with his gadgets safe
Where's the lie
Uganda gifted by nature... The best comfort zone I have ever known in this planet earth.
The monument at 18:09 is of a long drum ‘engalabi’ split in half with
Buganda Kingdom regalia in the middle.
It sits on the Royal Mile road (‘Kabaka Anjagala’) from the Royal Palace of Buganda to the Buganda Parliament.
The junction is known as ‘Kabaka Nantawetwa’ meaning the King doesn’t go around. It’s only the king of Buganda who goes thru it from his palace to his parliament.
Was looking for this comment.
There's no airport in Kampala 😅...... The only airport we have in Uganda is the one you landed at: Entebbe International Airport. The place is called Entebbe, not Kampala. And again, most Ugandans don't speak kiswahili. That's for most Kenyans and Tanzanians. In Uganda you'll be good to go around with English. Because we have more than 23 local languages
Thanks for watching😘
We actually have more than 40 languages
OMG IM SUPER HYPED TO VIEW ALL YOUR VIDEOS OF UGANDA 🇺🇬!! I honestly think you’d make great friends with Ethan Kavuma. Your personalities are SOOOO similar and he knows all the great places to hang in Kampala 😊
That's awesome Julian 😫❤️ I wish you all the best and travel safe.
Thank so much friend
I'm mad.... way toooo long between now and your last post. But this was worth the wait!! 😂😂😂 So amazing you riding through that city. Thank you so much for sharing. Be safe.
I’m so excited watching you in Kampala!
I love the chaos!😍
Organized chaos hahahahaa Julian is funny🤣🤣
I would've never guessed you were going to Uganda next. Enjoy ❤️
I'm so jelly right now, have fun. I can't wait for next video.
African countries handle pandemics and scary outbreaks much better than the western countries. They contain these outbreaks very good and isolate quick. Within no time the outbreak never affect the larger population. You will be fine.
So true. We're used to outbreaks. Look at how covid hit the west compared to Africa.
The boda guy took you to downtown kampala its always chaotic and the business and hustle part ...visit uptown ..like kololo, nakasero, lugogo its more organised with modern malls like acacia mall and fancy resturants and you should try the night life ...in kampala around kisementi area its the best in the region ...visit jinja , munyonyo speke resort and western Uganda ..uganda is very diverse otherwise enjoy your stay karibu UG
This guy's a fool all he is looking for is the bad side of a country ..did you show the homeless in America ..do you show how many homeless people in California ?.10,000s..but in Uganda though it's chaotic ..we have few homeless
@@babsinnocent6287 don't be emotional. He asked to be taken to where chaos is. That's where the thrill & authentic adventure is, for Travellers dear. Downtown kampala is literally a heartbeat.
the wooden like structure split by a shield and spears is a traditional drum of the Baganda ppl called "Engalabi"
Greetings from a fellow Ugandan. Make sure you take jackfruit and visit Kisoro.
Yay I’m also going to Uganda in December!I needed this vlog 💃🏼

Greeting from NYC, that city is full of fun, definitely u gonna have a blast.
Hey Julian, thanks for visiting our Country and touring downtown. That place you asked someone to mention if they know its name- Place is called Mengo, Kabaka anjagala road. The two big pillars are only used by the king of Buganda while using that road, He doesn’t go around the roundabout

@@sshem Ugandans don't speak Swahili. You go to Rwanda and Burundi and you'll find more Swahili speakers than Uganda.
The reason why ugandans don't speak Swahili is because they associate to military soildiers in those days of wars. During the time the soilders used to stage road blocks and rob pple while speaking in swahili

Not you asking to go where the chaos is! LOL also, this is stunning. You know that barber comes first hahahahaha. Thank you for sharing Aura as well! Sorry that happened to you!
🤎🤎🤎🤎 I wanted to see the chaos!! LOL
Yeyyyyy.... Happy you're in my country. Good you reached safe. Just continue to take care of yourself and enjoy!!!.
And the Queen's way, minute 15.55, that's my daily life to and from work every single day as they work to put a fly over in that place. You're lucky your device survived lol, thieves are sharp in areas with traffic as they use it to rob people esp phones and car parts like side mirrors, etc.
But overall Uganda is beautiful as long as you're out of the CBD. Hope you enjoyed your stay
Welcome to Kampala. Enjoy!
I love how you love Africa !
Welcome to UG Julian! Definitely check out Vault if you will be out tonight.
Atte vault is located where??🙄🤔 but Kampala has places, eeeh🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow it looks amazing there. I just can’t be around that many people. 😮I love your content ❤
That's called "Kabaka anjagala" in luganda meaning "King loves me"....its the gateway for the king of Buganda coming from his Lubiri(Palace) to his office or the lukiko (legislative) without going around the round about. And that lake is the Kabakas lake (it is man made and I don't think it has crocodiles.
Julian nice to see around watching from Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪
I missed you by just a few days Juliano ☺😄
Was there just last week
Omg 😭
You finally popped innnn😃😃😃😃
welcome to ug. i suggest you tour some more places in entebbe here there is great scenery ,sights and sounds
At around 18:29, that's Kabaka's round about, so that's a local drum statue, divided into two, to make way for the king (kabaka) to pass through when he travels. It's always closed for anyone else but the King of buganda (a central kingdom)
Wow!
The president of Uganda is jealous of the adoration the Kabaka has.he wishes to be the King
@@lutaayam just know
the pillars are called kungalabi as you head to the kings palace called Twekobbe in Mengo. thanks for visiting Julian
The name of that you were asking for is Kabaka’s way to his palace he doesn’t make turns so he doesn’t go around the round about as other cars, so it is opened when he is passing by
That thing u saw, is where the king of Buganda drives through. That’s to prevent him from staying in jam for a long time
This what I call living your life to the FULLEST 👏👏👏
Glad to see you Julian you had an exactly motorcycle driver in the city center of kampala

Thank for this video 👏🏾
The drums are called ngalabi. They are supposed to be played only for the Kabaka (king) the road is called Kabaka Anjagala (the king loves me) it's the royal mile connecting the palace to the Buganda parliament. The British made it as a replica of The Mall in London
