Hey Deezer and Outlaw. Thanks for sharing your experience. Having lived in the UK for almost 60 years, this was my first taste of hurricane. Living without water, electricity and phone service was certainly an experience. But thank God we've made it through. Thoughts for those not as fortunate.
Hey guys, thank you for keeping us updated. One of the reason for the heat and stagnant air is that when a storm like a hurricane passes through it pulls the air with it and seemingly all the wind is caught in the build up of the Strom. The happens with tornadoes
Manners and Prayers to you both. Thanking the Creator you are both safe and no damage to your house. A lot of people haven't been that lucky. Prayers to them and their families.
What a devastation, especially St Liz. Really heartbreaking to see. Glad you wasn’t affected too much. I had to charge in the car as well when my dad had a power outage due to storm damage 2 years ago in Clarendon. Stay safe and blessed 🙏🏾❤️
Yes, like yourself, we have to give thanks that we are safe. It was my first ever hurricane and scary at times. Yes broken branches. Fruits blown off the trees and minor flooding was bad. But not as bad as having no electricity, cable and water. Thankfully power is gradually being restired and we can start the clean up.process. Stay blessed. ❤
I'm glad you are alright! Thank you for the update. You can use a car battery (a spare one) to run a fan and charge phones. You just need a converter box to hook up to the battery and you are good to go. Except it won't power an a/c unit :( I understand your plight. I was in hurricane Katrina and Rita and we had no power or water for three weeks! We used car batteries for lighting and fans. You can also charge the battery with a solar panel.
Glad you are safe & well..can’t wait to next come over hoping to get to meet you guys & bring a gift as a thank you for the passport video you uploaded as thanks to you I got mine ❤❤
Its hellish after the hurricane. Ive been through a few bad ones. Being completely cut off from communication is upsetting. I don't blame you for finding a hotel to cool off. If you don't sleep, you'll be more stressed and run down, and at risk of getting sick. Try not to feel guilty. You worked hard for the things you have!
Good to see that you are both safe. We are about 5 minutes from you just after Ian Fleming. We were scheduled to be in Ja on Wednesday but the hurricane came and changed things. Hope to be there in August. We got power and internet back yesterday - our cameras came on, neighbors did not report any damage. Try trimming the banana trees and leaning them up, they may come back.
I can imagine how hot the house is. Glad you are are to check in a hotel for some sort of relief. Thanks for updating us. I still haven’t heard from some of my family members in St Ann’s and Manchester. Trusting that they are alright.🙏🏾🇬🇧
Thank you 🙏🏾 It’s difficult for so many. Still no current in some places, we got our back yesterday and phone lines are still inconsistent in some areas, but we give thanks
