We keep our rig in a static camp site hooked up and running year round. We pulled down our registers down and taped up any leaks in the ducts. We also added RV Air kits to both AC’s which increased the air flow by 35-40%. When it’s super hot we leave the AC’s on Cool High so the fan stays on to circulate the air in the rig. We also added the soft starts to both AC’s.
All good suggestions. I am static for the next few months also and I retaped all of my vents and use aux fans inside to keep the air moving. I use sunshades outside to keep the outer walls cool also. Makes a BIG difference...
We are in NC. It can be 100 degrees and humid when camping. On real hot days, I will pull in the slides while we are out to reduce the volume of air that needs to be cooled.
I have a couple of the rv vent pillows in my top vents...picked them up on amazon for about 7 bucks a piece...they have heat reflecting surface on one side...they work great for keeping the heat out in the summer!
I'm able to keep the temperature 30-32 degrees cooler inside my RV. I installed 2 misting nozzles at the condenser in order to cool the air entering the unit. This combined with some strategically placed mylar (windows and roof vents) works like a charm! 110 outside....78 inside...
hello from the rainy ozarks matt! great tips!! i use small pillows inside my vents to help keep cool and cover the inside skylights with reflexif. tight lines and cheers!

Doesn’t air escape from skylights
Not as much as you think. I have those pillows in the vents to prevent heat from coming in not cold from going out...
