This is likely due to the fact that City of Colour (both in Splatoon [1] and Splatoon 3), and Tomorrow's Nostalgia Today are the only songs that have the audio separated in different locations of the plaza - So when you're close to Callie you'll hear her louder and vice versa for Marie. Due to this, the different files can be isolated. Sadly this doesn't seem to apply to any of the other performed songs.

Far as I remember, this is one of the first times people have gotten the pure vocals from the files. This has got to be amazing for some covers!
