I was born in 1990 so I’m a TRUE 90’s child as I was born in literally 1990
And lived my whole youth in the 90’s but still while the 80’s and 90’s were drastically different from each other,they were still a lot closer to each other than the 2000’s and up and 80’s and 90’s might as well be one compared to the music time and era of todau things have changed a lot in terms
Of technology,science,and whats been going on in the world as well as influence music culture etc and I can definitely say bow wow hit the nail in the head with the “I ain’t from this era” comment as I felt that…I felt that quite deep…I even said to myself how I miss the old Taco Bell and kids these days will never know how good fast food was back in the day and just other things like playing outside bfr the ride of technology as the 80’s 90’s had all that in common and more meanwhile ppl that are kids in the 2000’s era grew up to a very different reality they didn’t even live through MySpace aim aol or the trash talking we all did these sensitive kids wouldn’t last an hr in those old chats 😅🤣🤣🤣 I wasn’t into rap when bow wow was new and popular back in the day but I heard the “let me hold you” song minutes Ago and it brought so much nostalgia and memories of my time as a kid or teen growing up in the early 2000’s when he was as around. Waiting this album since Greenlight mixtapes. Looking at the Greenlight 5 tracklist, and thinking he was underrated by YMCMB, like he said.
If the whole album brings this level of emotion then we got a banger coming.......been rooting for bow wow for a long time and always did think he got kind of a raw deal in the media but atleast it gave him something to go through so he could have that emotional depth
