If only more people could see this, it could make a huge difference for our ecosystem! Everyone who sees this should share it with their friends and family. The more people know about it, the more likely someone is to mass produce it! Do your part and help build a path to a better future!
The problem in this is the energy you need to make it, and I'm not talking about the process shown in the video, but in how to get the starch. All the agricultural model is based in oil, and to produce enough amount of starch to make plastics will demand or increase the agricultural production, or take part of that production to plastics. Increase the production means increasing the oil consumption. Of course, I can not give the numbers (because I don't know them) but it will not be that easy nor ecological at all. I wish it would.
then you think is not a good idea? not huegue Jose! We need to care our enviroment as soon as possible. We have to stop the prague of plastic. is all over killing ours species. the see are contaminated. Think again.
Nice job people. I got the idea of making bioplastic on my science exibition but most videos on RUclips were not much helpful. You guys explained whatever I needed to know. Thank you very much! Love from India. Keep the good work going!!!! Thanks again♥️
Unfortunately these Bioplastics end up in landfills and the bottom of the ocean, which doesn't allow them to break down fully due to incorrect conditions that are needed, resulting in them living hundreds or thousands of years. Bioplastics are only better if they are disposed of correctly, which still in 2018, is not happening.
Hii Can you help me in making these plastics I have science project on it Ihave tried a lot but not getting the strength in the plastic, as shown in video Plz help me
Thank you for the very concise and comprehensive video! I'd like to know if this kind of bioplastic could resist outdoor conditions, such as heavy rain, sun radiation... Will it decompose after few rainy days?
i have two questions: 1. what is the source of amylase in environment? (saliva yes, but what if it's thrown in a garden) 2. does water with/without amylase cause similar breakdown of both hard and soft bioplastics?
No.. You can The breakdown of biodegradable plastics take place only in 6 months. Microorganisms take 30 days to decompose just 1mg of plastic. Since the temperature in the refrigerator is cold, it would further not allow bacteria to attack easily.
Corn byproduct are all over doing more harm than good. We have to leave it for good. the contamination form generic corn do not show a good alternative for the future.
I'm having an issue with my bioplastic were it shrinks up like crazy. I want to make a replacement part for something but this keeps happening what can i do to stop the shrinking
Hey that's pretty nice.. I wanted to work on Bioplastics for my final year project as chemical Engineering student.. Just wanted to know the best raw material that can be used as polymer, as per here it's potatoes starch.. so what if i use starch from sugarcane?? Will that be more productive? Thanks
Hi Keshav.. i read your published article on research gate about starch based bioplastic. I wanted to ask do you have the pictures of the bioplastic you made with the steps you mentioned in your thesis
This is one of the most straight forward presentations on bio plastics I've come in contact with! Way to go and keep it up!

What are the correct condition for biodegradables to break down?
Hii
Can you help me in making these plastics
I have science project on it
Ihave tried a lot but not getting the strength in the plastic, as shown in video
Plz help me

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BIG HELP!
😸👍 thank you for explaining so clearly.
Is this plastic compostable?
this is a really informative video and its perfect for my project.
I was just wondering if there are any other alternative to amylase?
Will the type of starch used require different amounts of the other ingredients?
If it biodegrades in days, how long would a product made from this material even last?
真是一项清洁的技术,希望我们国家能早日用上!
Is it possible to create cellulose-based bioplastic without any machines, etc from beans??
Can i use avocado instead of potato? Im planning that for our research experiment!
Hi.. I had tired a lot of trials.. I followed the steps what u have said but I didn't attend the polymer. Why sir/mam?
Is there another way we can create a bio plastic without using starch
Hello! how many days can this material resist immersed in water? What material do you suggest me to use if it must to stay in contact with water?
Do you have videos on plant protein based bioplastic?
can you explain how to extract plant cellulose and use that to make plastic?
what did not change on your experiment?
i have two questions:
1. what is the source of amylase in environment? (saliva yes, but what if it's thrown in a garden)
2. does water with/without amylase cause similar breakdown of both hard and soft bioplastics?
what is the common ratio in making bioplastic?
Fantastic video, come on let do it.
Hello, can I use coconut oil or vegetable oil instead of glycerin?
what kind of vinegar do you used? is it the natural vinegar or the preservative vinegar?
is it ok if i use the microwave oven for drying of plastic?
Great👏👏. You did a great job.
Which Carbohydrate is present in this Bioplastic?
Thank you for the video.
Instead of Vinegar, why don't we use Acetic Acid itself? It can also be diluted and used. Isn't it?
So wonderful
Can we eat the plastic?
does that mean it's edible?
Then you can't keep things like soup in a bioplastic container in the fridge for more than a week because it will start decomposing...right?
No.. You can

Can we use corm starch instead of potato starch?
yes

How to make it more flexible like polythene bags???
Should i use chitosan instead potato stash?
How much chitosan i should use if i use instead potato strash?
write me if you found answer bakytzhanuly.b@gmail.com
Hi, is there any other way to prove this plastic is biodegradable? I don't have any amylase.
Water
seeing as how he said its in spit I supposed you could spit on it
Where can you get that amylase?
We also did this work and store the gel under sun bt our gel didn't form plastic can you help us please
How to get thickness of the solution
how long did u degrade them for?
I'm having an issue with my bioplastic were it shrinks up like crazy. I want to make a replacement part for something but this keeps happening what can i do to stop the shrinking
+Dylan Hill Add less plasticiser (i.e. Gycerine)?
becomes way to bridal and still shrinks
+Dylan Hill lol make it big
+Dylan Hill use a filler like wood flour or calcium carbonate or sand
+Lavi Fletcher have you tried this?

+Keshav Soomaree I am sure you can use things such as corn starch, tapioca starch, etc
Hey can you help me please, my final project also about bioplastic

Hiii you use this tricks.
It's a good teaching
please make it into an application plastic like plastic tile or plastic bag , not only a peace of un useful stuff
nice video!!
