I go over the Pros and Cons of not having a table saw in my shop! So why do I not need a table saw in my woodshop? The answer is simple, I would not use it. I go over what I use in my shop instead of a table saw. This Rip Saw helps my woodworking business make more money and cut wood more efficiently. I show what the Rip Saw can do and the benefits of having it in my woodshop.

Having worked in a production shop, using a straight line rip saw for ripping is much safer than using a table saw (even a Sawstop). As long as you keep the safety devices in place the straight line rip will protect you from kickbacks and best of all, you don’t have to get your hands near the saw blade. They are really nice to rip boards on, especially long boards. The laser on these saws are really neat!
Totally agree. I watched logs being planked on a mid-size lumber mill. Not something I would or could buy, but it was insightful and influenced my approach to cutting.
When creative problem solving: more you understand = more “options” = better solutions.
Tool envy! 😁
I think that was NY Strip 🤔 Maybe they cut Rib Eyes different in Texas??
Love your channel, even if I won’t do production level work.
More of the "know, what you don't know" videos, please. There are so many tools out there that most people would never see, but might at some point want to use....
Love this channel! The best tool is the one that makes you productive and work smarter. If I don’t need angled cuts or need straight line rips 90% of the time? A table saw doesn’t increase your productivity. There are ways to make angled cuts for the remaining 10% you need it, otherwise that straight line rip is a BEAST.
Thank You!
What a beautiful machine!
It sure is!
I will never own one, but really enjoyed the video. Like butter.
Glad you enjoyed it
It would be great to have. Unfortunately I can't afford such a luxury so I have a table saw.
I stumbled upon your channel quite a while back, and I admit, my initial impression was that you came across as a bit 'cocky,' which put me off so I never watched any of your videos again. However, recently, one of your videos was suggested to me again (your story), and I decided to give it a watch with a fresh perspective especially when your folks started talking about you and your background. I can honestly say that my previous judgment was incorrect. I've come to appreciate your way and where you came from...Keep up the good work...
I can understand why someone may think "cocky". My impression is that he's just very confident and knowledgeable in his area. But alot of people confuse confident with cocky 😊
Tbh i personally dont think hes cocky at all. You can see the person eyes and tell that they r full of themself or not.
But hey impression is very personal
We run our ripsaws and gang rip saw all day everyday. We shy away from the top blade models and now only use the bottom blade split track saws.
We found the top blade saws tend to be more hazardous for the operator.
Daaaang Like Butter Baby!
Thank you
Says he needs just the ribeye but puts up a NY Strip. 😂😂
That machine is awesome. I'll never have a need for one though.
oops - the editor
Amazing piece of machinery. Although I was just introduced to the multi blade from SCM with the return conveyor
It's realy a BEAST. I would love to get an inside look at how you program the multy head cnc machine and what software you use.
hey Brian, can you make a video about your very first projects you made?
im sold on it. nice machine!
You and me both!
yeah people that dont have to deal with having workers and having to worry about safety wont understand. this is perfect if you can keep it busy table saw is just not a good idea if you can avoid it in your production shop.
Exactly!
Like the Man says if You ain’t cutting it close You ain’t cutting it right! Right?
What’s a blade run you and how long does it last an it is a beast
Conveyor belt plus a tablesaw upside down. 1k and running ahhahahahha
I still think you need a table saw!
Not in this shop we dont!
Sorry, I did not watch your video. But I still plant to.Take care!@@cutting-it-close
