Okay, so we have been testing the Galaxy A71 thoroughly and here is the full review of the Samsung Galaxy A71! But before getting into that, let’s get familiar with the price of the device and where to buy it!

With that out of the way, let’s get started with the review. The Samsung Galaxy A71 is one of the latest mid-range launches from Samsung. The best things about the phone definitely have to be the display, design and the cameras of the phone. The display is Samsung’s Super AMOLED panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display panel is really good although its refresh rate is the standard 60Hz.
The phone is made of plastic all over even though it looks like glass. But impressively, the phone is very slim and ergonomic. The back panel has this gradient finish with some cut patterns that look absolutely beautiful.
Performance-wise, you get the Snapdragon 730 which is slightly disappointing. These days even phones that come for a much cheaper price tag come with better processors. So, maybe Samsung will keep that into consideration in the next iteration.
Camera performance is one of the best in the Galaxy A71. There are 4 lenses in total at the rear side and one 32MP sensor at the front. The back has a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and an additional 5MP Macro lens.
The macro lens is nothing wow. The primary sensor works well and so does the wide-angle-lens and the portrait images look good too. Nighttime images are decent too. When compared with the Realme X2, the A71 wins if you really nitpick in-camera aspects.
The battery- life of this phone is good too. It has a 4,500 mAh battery that is quite long-lasting. It will give you one and a half-day of use normally, With intensive use, it can get you through a day at least. There is 25-watt fast charging support too that fills up the battery of the A71 pretty fast.

This is my personal experience while using Samsung A71 for a month alongwith Oneplus 7, Oneplus 8 and Samsung S10+.
Samsung A71 is one of the best phone I have used in the recent past. I have used number of renowned phones like Oneplus 8, Oneplus 7, Samsung S10+….But this A71 comes across as a phone with a number of pros. First the screen/display…it is large and vibrant , fantastic for media consumption. Videos look so much better in A71 because of its big vibrant display and nearly invisible unobtrusive punch hole .You are never distracted by its punch hole. Then its battery backup. I don’t understand how it is so much better than Oneplus 7 and Oneplus 8 as these Oneplus phones suffer from heavy battery drain when idle. But in A71 there is hardly any battery drain when idle. Its weight distribution is fantastic, feels so light in hand inspite of 6.7 inch display…only 179 gms. Very rare to find these days. Realme and Xiaomi please note. Camera is superb & mindblowing as usual being a Samsung phone. It justifies the camera hype . In day to day work there is hardly any difference between A71 and Samsung S10+. They look almost same in appearance and performance if u like to overlook the antutu score.

I have my Galaxy A71 for a month now and I can say that it is really good for the price. Here in the Philippines, we have the Snapdragon 730G which is better than SD730 and 8GB RAM variant. It does your regular social media, work related and multimedia stuffs really well with no stutters. Gaming is a little bit tricky. Heavy games like PUBG and CODM really runs smoothly but when pushing it to do high graphics you'll experience some stutters. But I can play with it for hours without experiencing painful stutters and slowdowns. I love it. Best samsung buy for me so far!!!

Aside all good stuffs of A71, i thought there should be a Telephoto lense instead of macro lens to make the device more valuable.

Yes macro lens is pretty useless, better results if you 64mp and crop. Also it collects fingerprints like crazy on the back, but aside from that i love it. Like when i wash hands 20 times a day i dont want people to see my phone look all fingerprinty

Still Snapdragon 730 was very expensive for its price
I have the exynos version and it's comparable. Not even the slightest performance difference

On paper m31 is better but in reality a71 is better
@@abhishekpawar4500 in reality the A71 is almost double the price of the M31. The SD 730 is not worth the extra money over the exynos 9611, M31 is far better value and the better phone.
Matt Sidford samsung is always expensive than its competitors but A series have knox security,samsung pay but still redmi k20 pro or one plus better in that range
@@abhishekpawar4500 wouldn't go near a Xiaomi phone, their hardware is always enticing but let down by the horrible MIUI software. Disappearing notification icons, face unlock only if you select certain regions and don't forget the bloody ads in the UI. OnePlus are far more expensive than the Galaxy M or A series.
Don't care about processors only. Companies put more effort on their high end devices. So if you can afford a high end flagship or a midrange then go for it since the optimization will be far better then any low budget smartphones. Moreover all of the Samsung phones are optimized well. So if are willing to take Galaxy M31 it's totally your coice. But again if you can afford go for the Galaxy A71 it's a more long term investment and is really optimized well. Even if a phone has the world's strongest processor without a good optimization then that processor experience will be crap. So my friend if you are going for Samsung devices you can go for any smartphone which you feel more value for money product, there's no problem since samsung optimization is better than any other android devices right now especially its UI. Well I'm a Galaxy A71 user and using it for 4 months now. It's the best value for money I would say, atleast for me. It's buttery smooth. Really not kidding. I'm not a gamer but I play games everyday for an hour and the experience is great. But again it was my choice that doesn't mean Galaxy M31 is not good infact Galaxy M31 is a great value for money in its price point. It's my point of view no offense. Thankyou

The night mode crops the photo in a bit because it uses EIS to remove the micro shakes.. Same way the super steady uses the ultrawide camera but slightly cropped in..
Best budget phone! But i'd still go for preloved galaxy note 9

Nah its perfectly fine, in fact, i have the 6gb version, and i use it for lots of gaming too, no problem. Like it might be, if you want to have like 5 demanding games running at the same time, without any of them shutting down, but i dont ever feel a urge to do that, i clinically close apps directly when im done, so i really have no problems, really i could have done with 4 gb. Really, those 12/16 gb ram phones are really quite unnecessary, there is no software that needs them, for phones at least, maybe like one day gta 5 or something will release for phones, and then you will need 12+ gb of ram.. and a huge memory of like 500+ gb, but frankly not yet

The biggest advantage of this phone is that it's not a Chinese brand, this is the main reason I will choose A71 over Realme X2 and Oneplus 7T

@@Omprakash-fd2pc Realme? Have you seen the difference between the display and camera quality of these brands? Display comprises more than 65 of mobiles. Realme phones have "good performance" but they lake too far in competing with the brilliant display and camera quality.
Apart from GST, In India for many Chinese phones are no no at present. So Samsung products are in high demand

I think you haven't research nicely. The back is made up of mixing the properties of glass i.e. no scratches and properties of plastic i.e. no cracks and it's called glastic.

Good review.. but seriously do higher refresh rates really matter? You seem to be concentrating on that a lot. Lack of HDR10 is a big deal though.

The three most important things on this phone, for me, are 1. headphone jack that is not reliant on the same slot as the charging, Wireless headphones at best only last a couple of hours but wired goes on as long as the phone essential on long journeys. 2. dual sim 3. largeish screen for watching football on the go. The rest...!

Hi i am watching your videos first time and really liked it...can u suggest me the best mobile according to you out of options of these mobiles: Samsung A71, Oppo reno4, Oppo reno 3 pro, redmi note 9 pro, realme 6 pro , here are some of my preference : oled over LCD, memory card is must, 90 Hz over 90 Hz, a better camera setup, bigger battery with fact charging.
You can easily use Xender to transfer files to the pc or the link to windows feature instead of buying a dongle

Samsung will not use their older premium chipsets to budget phones, it will kill the old premium models still available in the market. But what's upsetting is its a70 series is always 1 year delayed on its chipset. Last year, they used sd675 on a70 when 730 was already available and ideal for its price. This year, they used sd730 on a71 when sd765 is already available.

@@sovittimilsina2931 Actually performances wise, it is quite good. I am not one who play pubg and all but seen the UI it's seems damn good. Talking about battery backup it lasts for like 5 to 6 hours on non stop usage.
But my concern is Camera. I have been hearing that it has outstanding camera, but this phone which has been manufactured in India, I think has a very low camera quality. I am quite disappointed!

I regret for buying this phone.. I don't like the battery life it doesn't last a day and half, sometimes the phone lags and the screen gets green when you turn on night mode and bring the brightness down too much!

Do the A71 and M31 share the very same main camera?
The main cameras are the same megapixels. Although becasue of the a71s superior chipset, the photos on that will be of a better quality. The a71s other cameras on the other hand, are higher resolution
After using A71 a week I am sufering from nerwork signals issues..have done everystep mentioned on samsung support website but still issue not resolved.
Same SIM card is working perfect fine on other mobiles at same locations bus samsung A71 sucks..
