I've also made some mistakes i've learned from this year. I also sold too many shrimp from one colony and didnt bounce back the way i thought they would and another mistake was waiting until it was too late to reset the tanks (until shrimp started dying due to high ph) so i started resetting tanks before its needed as a precaution and now tanks are doing much better.
Omg! Space space space! That’s always the issue! I am surprised though that even taking out 40% of a colony can be traumatic. I would’ve thought that it would improve water quality and leave more room. Ray is a master shrimp breeder everyone! I am guilty of bugging him all the time for more of his shrimp! I’ve bought from him many times over the past 7 years or so!
my problem now is my shrimp doesnt really breed, water condition is perfect, ratio is ok but everytime they berried they kinda dropped the egg slowly overtime..i suspect because of light as they got stressed everytime i switched on the light. now i bought light with sunset and sunrise control. as for you, if your house has enough land, you can build a small garage or something, or you can rent shop or showroom for 40 gallon tanks..if you have enough money to spend tho
Hi, I've commented before that i use matten filter sponge to divide my 20 gallon longs and a couple of 10 gallons for my neocaridina. It should work just as well with caridina. You can make one side a little bigger for your grow out tank side. Get more tanks without getting more tanks bud!😊
@RWAquariumPages it's probably not practical for cube tanks though as most of my caridina tanks currently are but before xmas i'm gonna change a 20 long i have to a caridina. Thanks for taking the time responding

Hi Ray! Do you think that tropica aquasoul or fluval stratum is good for fancy red tigers or should i just play safe and stick to crystal reds and tangerine tigers with that type of aquasoil?

Nice video. How do you think selling 50 shrimps out of a 100 shrimp colony affected them? I've done that before and have not noticed issues.

@@foodfam7651 honestly should be good , red fancy tigers i had didnt need the super low ph

@@One-hundredhundred i should but the honest truth answer is i don't. I set all my tanks the same, ok that's a bad excuse. I'm lazy
