Fun observation. I was an extra as part of the Daily planet back in 2005 when it was being made here in Sydney. Got 3 months work from it. So I come into frame with my long brown hair at 1 minute and 18 seconds until the 20 second mark just under Brandon Routh's nose. I got goosebumps just seeing this.
It wasn’t bad but it felt like Bryan Singer was more interested in creating a “Richard Donnor Superman movie” than his own. Also they completely underused Brandon Routh.
I think Singer was trying to do what Star Wars did with the Force Awakens: keep the story from the original series going but add some new content and some storylines that could lead to interesting plots for the next couple of movies. Unfortunately Star Wars went off the rails with the Last Jedi and Singer's Superman franchise died after box office returns weren't up to expectations, though the film did make quite a bit of money. It was definitely supposed to be a continuation of the Donner movies as opposed to a reboot. Singer definitely loaded Superman Returns with elements prime for development in a sequel, like Lois' engagement, Superman's son, and New Krypton. Kevin Spacey did a great job as Luthor, in my opinion the best portrayal of a DC villain other than Heath Ledger's Joker. Lois Lane was miscast, as Kate Bosworth just wasn't believable as a hard hitting reporter (kind of like Natalie Portman as an astrophysicist). Brandon Routh was excellent as the successor to Christopher Reeve, pulling off Kent's goofiness and exuding dignity and strength as Superman. I like Henry Cavill's Superman, but he's not really a separate person as Clark Kent. He's Superman with glasses on. I think it's too bad we never got to see what Routh's Superman could have been. Unfortunately the studio just decided to completely reboot the franchise. Man of Steel ended up not really doing much better than Superman Returns in terms of profit for the studio and Batman v Superman and Justice League were disappointing. *Years later*
Clark: "The reject from Gotham didn't think we covered him enough so he did what he called a practical joke... and gassed the building"
Grown Jimmy Olsen also is known in the Disney movie Jungle to Jungle 1997 were his plays Tim Allen's son as Indian boy from the Amazons named Mimi Siku 🎣🐍🐈
She fails to recognise Clark Kent as Superman.
The sad Thing is know that this Jimmy Olsen is dead
Well technically isnt he alive now now that Oliver rebooted the multiverse???? Superman returned with a new version of the KC emblem with the iconic yellow and red having his hope regained looking happy smiling at the camera as always and not the depressing version of him before tht???? So isnt it possible with the reboot that everyone way before crisis happened and after Crisis that died is now happy and alive not remembering a thing about wat and how it happened example the joker gassing stuff like tht???
@@silentgaming6287 yeah he is...thx God Oliver did it
It’s too bad that most of those people especially Mr White,Lois, and Jimmy are all dead only Clark and Jason are left, Richard his status is unknown
Is he wearing his boots to work, or does he have his clothes stored somewhere else, because when lois was in danger clark trips his shirt open like he was wearing everything including his boots to work after changing clothesb
Everything is under the clothes
I can't find when he says " she's still in love with you know who" 😭
Welcome Back, Lark?
Thank you!
