Would you recommend a RED Dragon today? Cause it’s like 7-9 years old now or something, BUT you can get the brain and accessories used for like $4.5-$6k. Compared to other mirrorless cameras i guess
Just the brain is 55k and all the accessories are around 10k to get it built so looking at around 65k all in. Just depends if you want resolution over dynamic range that’s real the biggest difference. You should look into the Gemini I think that camera is more on par with the Alexa mini, and it’s a lot cheaper.
@@AKSTUDIOUSA you can for sure just the Alexa happens to have a slightly higher dynamic range. Also the red camera has a more contrasty and saturated look and the Alexa has a more clean natural look so it really depends on the feel you want from the sensor. Also the alexa will nickel and dime you to unlock all its features. You will have to pay to unlock slo motion, anamorphic, Pro res too I believe and the red comes with no limitations. So you want to factor that into your purchase.
Great info man. Will def be checking out your other content.
