My bad on the slow response Jason, but thanks brotha. Dude, I love how much you've grown in your game and content....freaking amazing brotha. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas to you brotha!
DINNNOOOOOO!!! Miss you brother and hope you've been well, saw that you're fishing in the COLD but I know ur still getting em man. and agreed, DFG might plant smaller fish but def less crowds. I'll take it lol.
@@BenjieKimFishing we're doing well. Minnesota was definitely cold. But I would do it all over again. Send my regards to the fam. Until the next sesh my dude 🤙
Hey brotha, sorry for the late response but this pond is probably fished out, keep an eye out on oc stocking page, they let you know which pond is getting planted on which week!
This is so rad! My boys and I just got some trout gear we’re gonna start hitting some spots around la. Thank you for the vids man! Hope to see you out there one day!
Dude, let's make it happen a few times Francis! Hoping to be out there a lot more this season. Thanks for the reminder about the schedules, totally forgot but put em in just now!
hey benjie. dont know if you recognize me but i dmed you about perch. This is a good spot spoons, powerbair, spinners all work well here. You should try el dorado too. Great vid!
Hey brotha, yes I remember! Thanks for helping me make the connection. Thanks for the tips, yea the bite was pretty good that day. I'll be hitting the ponds as much as I can this season, hope to see you out there!
sweet didn't know that they had trout planted in those little ponds so cool. Does the color of spoon matter? Hope you had a good holiday, lets hook up soon!
Hey Todd!! Yea, trout season is fun man they county stocks different ponds weekly. It can be challenging with the crowds but it's mostly good vibes and it's nice to drive somewhere close and just feel that tug without all the prep work of other fishing styles. Color does matter, gotta key in on what they're liking at that moment. Seems to change on a whim. Definitely brother, can't wait to fish with you again man!
I live two blocks from this lake. Most of us Bass guys are 100% catch and release. Way to many people are keeping the Bass from this lake. DFG doesn't plant bass, please release the Bass to keep the pond stocked. The Trout and Catfish are another thing, they're stocked and need to be caught and consumed. Thanks : )
Hey Josh, man at the time of me writing this comment, I'm hoping you've hooked about 50 perch! Barbless is not required, my friend gave me the one I was using and its def nice to have if you're just C&R.
Nice video bro, but you might want to think about keeping the ones you catch since they usually dont live after being caught because they are pretty delicate and once handled and slime get removed they dont live long. Just a thought, great video! Thanks bro!
Thanks so much for the tip and info! I'll probably keep some and release some...but I can always do way better in handling them after the catch. I'll def work on that. Much appreciated and tight lines!
@@MrJoeylisto oh dang, that’s right! Def remember Joey, your name looked so familiar 🤦♂️ Cerritos is prolly fished out by now for the most part but they’re doing county stocks this week…take a look at the county stock schedule link in this vid description. I think they’re doing carbon this week….
Sorry you didn't catch any using that smaller Lucky Craft lure. I'm curious if the smaller profile would work for surf species? Anyway, thanks for your efforts.
I'll have to figure it out, it's an adjustment for me when it comes to trout. The smaller profile will absolutely work from the surf, the biggest challenge there is casting distance. I'm throwing these at the pond with 2 pound test. Even with 4 to 6 pound, casting will be a challenge from the surf. But definitely possible and it would absolutely get bit imo.
Hey brotha, SD/OC/LA are all starting to plant trout at the local lakes/ponds. The Dragonfly is rated 1-7. I like using it to mini jig or throwing small spoons.
Trout can't survive year round in our region. In Summer it's so hot, they don't survive. So if you like to cook trout, keep the fish. Don't feel bad, they get restocked anyway.
Hello Benjie, that looked like a lot of fun. That spoon was hot! And yeah, those fish had some fight in them for sure. Okay, here is the dumb question, I was just wondering what is the blue coloring in the water? Have a super day. Danny and Kim in San Diego
Hi Danny and Kim! Thanks for the comment and not a dumb question at all. And to be honest, I have no idea why haha. The water has always been blue there, I'm sure there's a super simple explanation for it that someone can jump in and answer but I'm just not sure. Wishing you great weeks!
Nice work brotha!!! Me and Peter hit it down here in San Diego. Managed to pull quite a few. Took some home. Tasty. Question for you. How long is your 2lb leader, or are you rocking a long top shot?
Hey Michael, dang awesome you guys slaying fresh and salt, I love it! I think my leader is around 5 ft or so? I just try to keep the connection off the spool...about 3 arms length pulls.
good to hear! nice and peaceful too.
Thanks Dwayne, yea it can be challenging with the crowds at the local ponds but it was pretty chill this day
Wooo thanks for sharing Benjie!

Lots of fun to be out fishing. Great Therapy
It's my birthday today and I'm definitely hitting up this park and several others 🥳🥳🥳
Oh man, happy belated birthday Jake and hope to see you out there this season!
Saw a couple people pull out some trout at wilderness park in Downey
Imma head out there tomorrow. thank you for all the insights. I got the same set up. Love to see you out there lol.

@@BenjieKimFishing Thank you for the information. Good thing I wasnt able to make it yesterday lol.
Excited for trout season baby! I've never used a spoon for trout before, gonna order a couple now haha
What's up Daniel! Heck yea man, spoons are so much fun...good casting distance and you can cover a lot of ground. Hope you're well!

Very nice my friend

I heard the trout DFW stocked are a bit bigger this season. I’ll have to visit the local lakes again, thanks for the video.

Yeah, i wish more people would release the bass. It takes years for bass to get big.
Good to know. I like catfish.

Do you know what’s the actual date they stock of the week their showing on website
I do not. Once they start stocking, we should be able to identify the days they will typically stock...

They dye the water to help control algae.

When's the season start for trout?
Typically, November is sort of the kick off for when they start planting local ponds.

When did they start this lake?
I believe they stocked it 3 weeks ago
Do the cops ever pass by to check licenses?
