Karl had to keep his head tilted back to not have the wig get in his face, and it just makes him look like a snobbish skeleton, like he's looking down on everyone. I love it.
Even before I had seen any of the final destination movies I wouldn't stay behind any type of truck hauling un-enclosed items as I've seen couple of times stuff sliding off on the highway. Just a big bag of nope for me thanks lol
I remember all these stories, and all of them were solid 8-10/10. I would have loved it if they made a horror anthology for all the ghost culminating into the ritual.
I remember feeling so bad for the Angry Princess ghost. She was so abused by different lovers, the way she was treated destroyed her sanity and drove her to ending it all in such a tragic way. The way mental health is so swept under the rug, even IRL, she's still the one from 13 Ghosts I feel bad for the most; hard to ridicule her for being angry when she was broken down so much by people she thought was supposed to care. 🥺
I honestly felt bad for most of the ghosts. Most of them were innocent people caught in terrible situations. The only two truly evil ghosts were The Jackal and The Juggernaut. The others were just pissed off they were captured and trapped in the house. I'm sure in their "natural habitat" they're all pretty harmless. Wouldn't wanna be in that scrap yard though 😅
I unironically love Thirteen Ghosts and always have. It's just such campy good fun and has multiple memorable moments and one-liners. And speaking of memorable, so are the backstories to all the ghosts. They really stick with you once you learn about them. It's a shame they didn't flesh them out in the final cut of the film like they were on paper.
the 13 ghosts title is definitely a reference to the scooby doo cartoon "13 ghosts of scooby doo" which also had 12 ghosts. and they got mathew lillard? this is a scooby doo fan fic that somehow skated copyright laws.
I'm not complaining, though. The ghost designs would've been so dumbed down, if they hadn't managed to bypass the children-friendly Scooby Doo franchise.
On top of feeling bad for Hammer, Angry Princess hurts my heart the most. So many people she thought were supposed to care for her broke her down mentally to the point she couldn't take it anymore and ended herself. It's incredibly relatable for many people that have gone through abusive relationships.
I'm glad someone mentioned this dvd specifically. If I only saw the movie it might not be memorable but I had the DVD and the other stuff packaged with it were so much better as a whole.
Great video guys seeing you dressed as Death made me burst out laughing I really needed that, thanks for the laughs and an entertaining video Carl and Co!
I see you film multiple videos per day. Also, I was a fan of the kitchen ironic green screen that sometimes got used, but with sarcasm. I can appreciate that you obtained one for this set as well.
Thirteen Ghosts was amazing once I knew the history behind the original. It's one of my favourite horror movies because there's absolutely nothing like it. It's so stupid and so insane.
YES! I grew up with this movie and my absolute favorite part was the backstory featurettes! I feel like we got shortchanged with the Withered Lover though. Her story was nowhere near the other eleven ghosts and didn't make sense to include in the ritual aside from plot reasons. In universe, she doesn't fit.
There were 13 ghosts, Matthew Lillard's character died and came back as a ghost. If Cyrus would have just played the record he would have had his 13th ghost as Lillard's character sacrificed himself and would have served the role.
I loved 13 ghosts. The jackle was the most terrifying of all to me. Like it's campy and weird and spooky and I love Mathew Lillard he's been the longest running crush for me from Scream to Scooby Doo to Good Girls. Man also. Ps. The horrible histories Stoopid deaths guy is on point!
I remember some of the ghost lore was being discussed on geek news sites of the time like CHUD and Aintitcoolnews by the filmmakers prior to the film's release. Will have to seek out the extras on here.
Yeah the stories are on the DVD bonus. So many people probably have no idea. Also I have to shout out to that one guy responsible for editing this movie to be viewed on TV, where there was one version I saw that when they showed the female ghost that's obviously nude. And instead of zooming in, or blurring excessively, it basically looked like she might have been wearing a full body suit, but you practically saw everything anyway....
I did love the movie but i think it was more for the ideas in it like a shifting house especially that center room the ghosts and the ghost catching at the start
I was young when I first saw the movie, and I loved it! The designs for the ghosts were so good! A few years later I got the DVD, and those special features blew my mind! Loved those truly interactive dvds that put effort into it, instead of the bare bones still frame with a play button on it. I had forgotten the details over the years, but to be reminded here was confirmation that they could've did so much more with this movie, to do it right someday. Fingers crossed for a series that does it justice over like 3-5 seasons.
I actually really like the idea of a movie designed to watch with different kinds of filters, like a movie that has ghosts thats a horror when you cant see/hear the ghosts but if you can see/hear them, its a comedy? Sounds real difficult to do tho
Honestly I didn't give a fig about what Karl was saying. I was just waiting for "Shut it Louis!" I sodding love Horrible Histories. Also epic dressing up there by Karl. Next Halloween I think you should dress up like that again and use the cards from the Stupid Deaths board game to see how many deaths you can guess right. Maybe USC fodder.
When I was a kid, I HATED scary movies of any kind. And that continued into my teenage hood. 13 ghosts was the movie that changed my mind, because it wasn’t scary but still was fun.
1:50: Like Sesevenen! I never actually watched that movie, but the title will live in the back of my mind forever because of that stupid 7 in place of the V
Omg this one of my favorite DVD special feature menu selection, right up there next to the word puzzle one on ghost ship. Both came out around the same time. I miss those days, like how cd booklets used to be like half the coolness of owning the cd. Good times
Honestly knew none of this context. I knew it was a remake, but I didn't know that it was intentionally made that way as an homage and/or send up of the original. And yet I've always enjoyed the movie. Might have to rewatch it now with the new context and see if it changes my opinion at all. Positive or negative.
"Pretty cool" will still be pretty cool in 10 years. "Dude... that's AWESOME!" will be a meme in a month. The irony of success having a tipping point, as personified by Dubstep Movie Trailer and Nickelback.
The point about the image and context is very interesting to me. One of the "tests" we did in my pregnancy class, years ago, determining emotion from expression. One of the images was a little black boy with tears in his eyes. All the answers were despair, anguish, sadness. But, personally, I thought the boy looked quite cheeky and like he was faking tears. This concerned the instructors, do I defended by pointing out that maybe they're just used to seeing images of young black children in charity adverts, crying and maybe that is slightly tainting their view. They took this as me calling them racist and it caused a big arguement so I abandoned the point. But this reminded me of that little boy, with tears in his eyes and a cheeky little half smile he was trying to hide and I'm so sure I was right 😂
The torso, the torn prince, the angry princess, the juggernaut, the pilgrim, the bound woman, the firstborn son... I mean, for a 20 minute video you could have talked about at least half of them.
12:08 hell nah I would’ve gone to jail for punch a child 😂 my first instinct in these situations is to swing then run, that’s why I can’t go to haunted houses for Halloween anymore 😂
I've been so conditioned so that when I hear learning mentioned in videos I think skillshare, so I got taken aback for a second when Karl said learning.
Say whatever you want about final destination but till this day i still try to pass any truck with some kind of logs or pipes etc. I’ll never drive behind one of those.
I've been pronouncing it as thir-thirteen-en ghosts for a long time ever since I watched it, which is an inspiration for my username, th-one-rty-three.
The thing about ghosts though is why aren't they naked? I can put aside the physical impossibility of ghosts in the universe as we know it, but I have to know how the Cosby Sweater died.
Always comes as a surprise to learn the internet deems many of the films I love as kind of lame. At least this time I get some lore to look over before I next watch it.
Not only does that end card look like Karl is a singer/guitarist in a Norwegian Black Metal band, but I bet we can do a side by side with a pic I find with a 15 second google and everyone will guess wrong when asked who is who. I'm saying you have a backup career if you want it, Karl 👍
Karl had to keep his head tilted back to not have the wig get in his face, and it just makes him look like a snobbish skeleton, like he's looking down on everyone. I love it.
it's completely in character to the grim reaper in horrible histories hehe
It was a fact, and it really Happened
Both he and Bonely are looking down their nose at the world actually
It really did make him look like a prissy skeleton 🤣
You need to see how Boa Hancock from One Piece looks down on people.
Love the Horrible Histories costume. That show had no right being as awesome as it was
That is a rather good costume, I recognised it straight away.
Final Destination 2 put such a fear of log trucks in me that I CANNOT stay behind them.
To this day I will get off the highway and go out of my way to avoid traveling near a log truck if I have to.
I remember the special features from that dvd being scarier than the movie lol
I remember feeling so bad for the Angry Princess ghost. She was so abused by different lovers, the way she was treated destroyed her sanity and drove her to ending it all in such a tragic way. @Darkflowerchyld718 The jackal, even though he is evil, has a very tragic back story because he knows he's evil and is afraid of that.
I unironically love Thirteen Ghosts and always have. It's just such campy good fun and has multiple memorable moments and one-liners. And speaking of memorable, so are the backstories to all the ghosts. They really stick with you once you learn about them. I understand why you can’t keep this up, but I already know I’ll miss you dressed as the Horrible Histories Death. It’s so fun!
OH MY GOD
I just remembered watching those on the DVD Bonus Features.
The Hammer's Story is down right tragic.
And The Jackal.... 😰
On top of feeling bad for Hammer, Angry Princess hurts my heart the most. So many people she thought were supposed to care for her broke her down mentally to the point she couldn't take it anymore and ended herself. It's incredibly relatable for many people that have gone through abusive relationships.
I haven't watched y'all in a while and then this absolutely lovely video pops up. Too dope at usual, appreciate the lot of ye. Amor.
I saw Mathew Lillard and instantly thought The Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby Doo
Best reoccurring gag. Anytime Bonely is on screen, something happens to Bonely, and Karl screaming "Oh no!"
I can really appreciate it just seeing Karl have so much fun in his costume
I see you film multiple videos per day.
Also, I was a fan of the kitchen ironic green screen that sometimes got used, but with sarcasm. I can appreciate that you obtained one for this set as well.
I remember reading the bios on the DVD that I rented from blockbuster! Still love this movie
"Shut up Louis" 🤣🤣✌️
Thirteen Ghosts was amazing once I knew the history behind the original. It's one of my favourite horror movies because there's absolutely nothing like it.
It's so stupid and so insane.
I love this movie
Hahaha i love you costum, "stupid death stupid death"
YES! I grew up with this movie and my absolute favorite part was the backstory featurettes! I feel like we got shortchanged with the Withered Lover though. I saw this as a kid, and it scared the sh*t out of me. Lol
I remember some of the ghost lore was being discussed on geek news sites of the time like CHUD and Aintitcoolnews by the filmmakers prior to the film's release. Will have to seek out the extras on here.
This was always one of those “why do you know this” when i tell anyone.
oh my actual goodness, what a hecking amazing costume
I loved 13 ghosts always thought it was greatly entertaining and very well put together
The way the house build was cool because the magic built in.
Karl's laugh at the end sounded like the Cursed monk from Baldur's Gate 3
I've always enjoyed 13 ghosts from the first time I seen it. I've seen it a few times and done personal lore dives into the different ghosts.
Serious Deaths being funny because they are fictional made me laugh so hard
I saw The Tingler on a channel 13 Saturday night horror late show... and was afraid of the dark for years after that.
Such an underrated classic
This is karl's best costume yet
I straight up thought he got Death from horrible histories to cameo. I am blind as heck though, and was going by the voice.
I was young when I first saw the movie, and I loved it! The designs for the ghosts were so good!
A few years later I got the DVD, and those special features blew my mind! Loved those truly interactive dvds that put effort into it, instead of the bare bones still frame with a play button on it.

Shoulda called the movie Th12teen Ghosts
😂
9:20 The glasses and the Tingler© remind me of John Goodman's movie Matinee...
20:52 The hammer is essentially the crow but as a horror movie instead of action comic movie
The film was made in a time where it could have been intentional as a reason for people to buy the DVD
This was recommended to me 13 hours after release
When I was a kid, I HATED scary movies of any kind. And that continued into my teenage hood. 13 ghosts was the movie that changed my mind, because it wasn’t scary but still was fun.
WOOOOOO BONELY FUCK YEAH
Love how much he's chewing the costume on this one
the more i listen to this, the more i think of how 13 ghosts of scooby doo, they encounter 12 ghosts.
1:50: Like Sesevenen! I never actually watched that movie, but the title will live in the back of my mind forever because of that stupid 7 in place of the V
That costume is wicked ✨
Omg this one of my favorite DVD special feature menu selection, right up there next to the word puzzle one on ghost ship. Both came out around the same time. I miss those days, like how cd booklets used to be like half the coolness of owning the cd. Good times

Karl stylin so hard right now
This cosplay is SPOT ON!!!!
this needs to be a game
The guy who showed that reality TV thing was Charlie Brooker. I can’t remember which show but I think it was screen wipe.
"Pretty cool" will still be pretty cool in 10 years.
"Dude... that's AWESOME!" will be a meme in a month.

I thought this was going to be a story about the "The Thirteen Ghosts and Scooby Doo".
Should do a streaming series of 12 or 13 episodes each focuses on 1 of the ghosts....
William Tell is terrifying
I saw your tiktok and i love the costume
Had that DVD and the extras were fire 🔥
Freaking great movie!
Just the other night, me and the wife were talking about how The Torso is still one of the most unsettling things we've seen in horror
1# costume of all the content creators I follow, Thank you all involved !!!
Best costume ever
The torso, the torn prince, the angry princess, the juggernaut, the pilgrim, the bound woman, the firstborn son... I mean, for a 20 minute video you could have talked about at least half of them.
Then people wouldn't have to look into it themselves
If i Remember the OG film is on the special features as well
12:08 hell nah I would’ve gone to jail for punch a child 😂 my first instinct in these situations is to swing then run, that’s why I can’t go to haunted houses for Halloween anymore 😂
oh god ima collapse all im thinking of now is SHUT UP LUI SMACK 🤣🤣🤣♥️
Lmfao!!! That ending was beautiful.
I love Death from the Horrible History
I've been so conditioned so that when I hear learning mentioned in videos I think skillshare, so I got taken aback for a second when Karl said learning.
DUDE I LOVE THIS COSTUME
Susan was my favourite ghost, or the angry princess which was something i kinda relate to. Not being perfect
Same. My heart hurts for her the most. 🥺
Great video as always!
Mathew Lillard had to have spinal surgery from carrying this f*cking movie!
brilliant costume
Say whatever you want about final destination but till this day i still try to pass any truck with some kind of logs or pipes etc. I’ll never drive behind one of those.
Thats like that video where someone put different music to the Mrs. Doubtfire trailer to turn it into a horror film.
It's insane how many people don't know that they all have stories and videos that go with them.
Wait did you just say there’s a tv show coming out for this!!!
Okay not gonna lie at the beginning I actually thought they got Death to cameo.
I've been pronouncing it as thir-thirteen-en ghosts for a long time ever since I watched it, which is an inspiration for my username, th-one-rty-three.
All Hail Emperor Bonely!
Goats?
GHOSTS!!!!
So we need a film for all the ghosts backstories? Like 1 each?
Or at least some anthology films that have chapters that act as miniepisodes, to show each ghost in their final days before meeting their grisly ends.
First horror movie I saw was House on Haunted Hill. I had nightmares for a week.
To be fair there are thirteen ghosts, as one of the characters dies and their ghost helps guide the main character to survive.
HOLY SHIT SPOOKY DEATH?!
Not only does that end card look like Karl is a singer/guitarist in a Norwegian Black Metal band, but I bet we can do a side by side with a pic I find with a 15 second google and everyone will guess wrong when asked who is who.
I'm saying you have a backup career if you want it, Karl 👍
And dvds are getting phased out with digital content not having the extras. Maybe some fo but I haven't seen it that much
Great video, a very enjoyable conversation.
I actually enjoyed that movie definitely brought the DVD definitely love the back stories. It was cheesy bad, but it was still entertaining.
