You know this video was so well done because you summed up why I think 2 point will be better for me but everything you said made perfect sense. I have finer hair and a sensitive scalp, so fluffy locs that are looser sounds like a dream. 10/10 for trying out something new yourself and sharing the results for the rest of us to learn from! Your locs are gorgeous so if it ain't broken don't fix it!
Your hair looks great! I'm a 4 point rotation lover, lol because I like that they are compact, uniform, and smaller. It takes me 12 hrs to retie 361 locs every 7 weeks. Im 2 years in, this is the best decision I've made for my hair.
Your hair is beautiful! I'm 3 years in too and started with braidlocs with a 2 point rotation because I knew I wanted more of a fluffy, not as neat look. I retie every 10-12 weeks :)
Your locs are beautiful. My favorite rotation is the 2 point. I used to do the 4 point on my second set of locs. They lookked more like braids than locs as a result in my opinion. Nevertheless, I always say... to each his own. =)
I love this! I never realized why I would get that "Y" shape, but I do the 2 point rotation. I have to do the 2 point rotation though, my hair is too thin and it needs that space to expand.
i do 2pt because i heard it gives you a fluffy look and i like fluffy. I don't think I will try the 4pt because I don't want there to be skinner section in my locs. it looks good but I'll just stick to 2pt.
I definitely think it was better for me to have stuck with the 4 point rotation for the first 6 months because my hair was marrying like crazy and the cleanness of the 4 pt helped much more with keeping the parting neater
Love the bouncy curl look on you. Did you use any holding product at all to achieve this? The 3 point rotation is actually better named - the 3 point reverse rotation, because you are essentially going in the same way as a 4 point, just that instead of doing the 4th entry, you stop and reverse your direction after the 3rd entry point. Like this 👉🏾 12,3,6 reverse, 3,12 reverse, 3,6 reverse, 3,12 reverse, 3,6 reverse, 3, 12 reverse and on and on like that. It's almost a two point but reversed with each cycle.
I use 3 pt as well but mentally it’s easier by going: left, down, right down, left, down, right, down etc. 9/10 times I end going down. It’s been quicker for me and benefits of 2 and 4.
I didn't even realize that the y started after I stopped doing 4 point rotations. I did 4 pt for about 6 months before I got sick of it and switched to 2 pt.
@@agirlwholovesgod1645 I've only been Loc'd a little over a year. I think it's still too early to say there long term effects. But I'm still doing 2pt rotation.
I typically do 4 point but I'm 12 wks post and just palm rolled for the first time and it took 2hrs I have over 400 locs. I feel like I might try palm rolling 1 more time in a month or so.

Thank you! Love that you knew what you wanted! Congrats on 3 years ❤️
I totally agree with this two-point rotation and the Y-thing.
The hair is gorgeous!😍
I just want my reties to be shorter, so for now, I'll stick with 2.
Plus I want to have a little more volume.

These curls are so pretty

Hi sis. I've always done the 4pt...takes longer but the look is what I love
Yess agreed

What is your skincare routine❤? You’re glowing!!

Thank you! No holding product just water. Ahh that’s interesting. Makes sense! The 3pt rotation definitely requires the most brainpower loll

Always SO thankful for all your information!!! ♡
💕💕
I tried the 2 point rotation as well and I went right back to the 4 point cause its comfort for me
My loctician is doing a 3-point rotation on mine. Best of both worlds...
My new loctians started me on 3. Love it.
Love your loc’s I always do the 4 point rotation
Are you still doing the 2pt rotation ? Can you tell the difference ? Thank you.

Woww you have strength!
@JOSETTEBIANCA that palm roll was so easy I hope I like it long term lol
What do you do if you accidentally marry the root of the locs?
Looks very nice!
Beautiful 😍 loc curls
Does locdbylillette still do starter locs? I’m hoping so! 🙏🏼
Yes!
Thank you for sharing.
