      Thanks! I needed a parts washer and due to covid they were out of stock everywhere at the time so i built this. In the end its better for my needs than a store bought one and cost me almost nothing

    Que tipo de conector eléctrico has usado para conectar la bomba? Se pueden sumergir los cables en gasoil? Podría conectar conexiones faston a la bomba? O tienen que estar aislados?

      Utilicé conectores de cables con tornillos, pero cualquier conector aislado funcionará. El contacto con el combustible diesel no es una gran preocupación ya que no se enciende fácilmente. Siempre que la conexión esté lo suficientemente aislada como para que los cables no se cortocircuiten entre sí o contra el cilindro de metal, no debería haber ningún problema.

    Was that a fuel pump?

    • @hillbuilds

      Yep. It was an old one i had laying around. I was running it off of a car battery at first to test it then finally ordered a 12v 5a power supply on Amazon for $11 and its been working great!
      Here's a similar pump on amazon for under $10. I wouldn't trust it in a vehicle at that price but for this purpose it fits the bill

    what type of cleaner do you use and would that be safe to use with diesel?

    • @hillbuilds
      @hillbuilds  3 года назад +2

      I've always used diesel fuel in it. I'm not sure about other solvents but i imagine anything that doesn't degrade rubber fuel line would probably be ok

    Awesome parts washer . Good video, but some splaining nice. Maybe you could do an update video And tell us where the pump came from and about the flow rate, power source, solvent all that. Thanks for your time .

      Thanks. I'm hoping to get back to making videos soon. The pump is a gm in tank fuel pump that I had lying around and I used a cheap 12v power supply I bought on Amazon. This was my first video so I kinda just was playing around with editing and stuff to see if I could make something worth watching. I'll try to do an update video soon.

      😂 I'm as shocked as you are. It's always said to just make your first video and don't worry about how bad it is because it's going to suck and nobody is going to see it anyways. Mission failed successfully I guess.
