When I worked at Cedar Point in 1994, the building in the center of your area #1 used to be the "money building." We would go there in the morning to get our change fund, then at the end of the day all cash we took in would be taken back to that building.
Great video! Solid location choices and rankings. A location i'd like to suggest, is the plot of land between Corkscrew and Magnum. I would love to see CP add as many coasters as possible, without removing any existing ones. It'd be cool if CP tried to take the coaster count title from SFMM. I'd like to imagine CP in 15 years, with steel and wood track intertwined across the peninsula.
Cedar Point could do off site parking on Cleveland Road and provide shuttle service. They already have The Amazement Shop, Pipe Creek Campus and a Hiring and Training Center out there. there's a bunch of empty car dealerships and abandoned businesses they could take over. they could have busses like Disney World
Out of the five possible locations you mentioned, the location that I could see Cedar Point build their NEXT roller coaster has to be location #4. By utilizing this location, you'd help fix the issue involving staffing and some of the rides in Kiddie Kingdom that are worth saving could be moved to the Camp Snoopy area. Also, I’m in for the idea GCI Wooden Twister coaster for the Boardwalk area.
There's a lot of empty space right across from Iron Dragon that used to belong to Wildcat and a theater. That seems like a good place to put something compact: Maybe a family launching coaster like King's Island is getting.
I would like to see you do a video like this about Indiana Beach . A family owned park ( again ) set up a lot like Cedar Point except a tenth of the size . IB is a perfect example of taking advantage of the little space you have available . they have half the rides over water , a coaster on top of a restaurant , intertwining coasters and rides . the place is amazing ! CP has plenty of room for a lot more than 5 coasters . they just have to be creative .
Honestly with snake river falls defunct they should remove mineride and use that whole area for a new family area with aBBM type ride...Your concept 2 would be awesome,2 gigas at the same park.I think the park should try and buy the 4 or 5 houses to the right of the parking lot
did you know that there was a 2nd RMC to open up this year, Skoll & Hati at Gyeongju World in South Korea is a Raptor that opened on 11/30 according to RCDB
They in a couple years add a gci woodie where frontier fling and snake river falls is and theme it to frontier town lore then in the future after that they get rid of Cedar Creek mine ride and add a Mack spinner
it doesn't matter, Millennium Force is a nod to ingenuity of its era. Obviously rides are going to be better than the first giga ever, but they'll never be the first giga ever.
Location 1: it is the merchandise office and the warehouse for all of merch. It is where the floats are housed also for the parades. unforntually you will need the merch warehouse due to the need for all of it. It is also cash control for the park as well which is also needed for the park. Location 2: It is basically all the employee parking. Cannot move this off property, the lot at the dorms is nowhere big enough and you can't bus all of those associates. Also the flooding in this area is incredibly bad and so the water table right here is really the only issue with finding out where to move employee parking. This lot is really only overflow also. Location 3: The sign shop isn't moving, it is an everyday thing that we use in the park for laminating, getting signs redone, they would prefer everyone not to have to drive off property to get this. Location 4: Yes Kiddie Kingdom can leave that's really it. This does nothing but help staffing in the park. Carousel does need to get moved somewhere else in park, it is historic. Location 5: There is 0 cons to this area. You can do so much with this area, either new attractions and new coaster even more then 1 coaster can fit here. Expand Camp Snoopy??????? I've heard that is in the cards possibly if you want to get ride of one kids area in the park.
The big building you mentioned in location 1, is the main operations building holding offices, and retail training for the retail department at cedar point.
Some areas, such as storage, office spaces, and warehouses, cannot be removed because they need to be on point and could be strategically located for there specific reasons. If these areas were relocated off the peninsula, leadership and employees would have to drive on and off the site, interfering with guest traffic. If the warehouses were moved off the point, Cedar Point would need additional trucks to transport food, merchandise, and equipment on and off park property. This would also increase traffic. This would make operations less efficient and inconvenient for employees and guests. Instead, they will likely get creative and unique with the space they have or could consider relocating the waterpark. The park also needs the parking lots (On Point) for employees and overflow parking, especially on busy days and during HalloWeekends. I could see them maybe adding additional transportation and parking off point. If they relocate the storage area somewhere else in the park, they’ll have to use some other space that they could use for a potential ride. Either way, space will be taken up by these buildings. They also use some of the buildings for Halloweekends, which attracts a lot of people and brings in lots of money. The park also needs food buildings, and they are definitely not replacing them. My bet is they will continue to look for the best options to improve dining by potentially building more as the lines get long. The park needs these buildings to ensure smooth operations. You have to consider that traffic leaving Cedar Point can take a while, they are on a peninsula and they have two lanes exiting
After halloweekends this past year, I don't think we're seeing any parking going away, every single lot was filled each weekend. The only way they'll remove parking is if a garage happens and I just don't see them doing it.
Awsome work. I love the Giga idea. Kings Island's family coaster will be something like Soap box racers in Camp Snoopy, or is it in a different area more extreme like the Harry Potter ride in FL or Stunt lot?
I think the building in location # 1 should move to location #3 (between SV and Gemini) and I think a water coaster would work best - Location 2, I think they should add a Mack Hyper that goes upside down (they can market it with the 1st hyper coaster in North America to go upside down) OR a flying coaster from Vekoma - Location 3 should be some type of log flume ride from Zamperla or Intamin - Location 4 would be great for infinity coaster - Location 5 a family wooden coaster with steal supports to save on cost
I'd much prefer they rip out planet Snoopy or at least transfer the Kiddy Kingdom rides to planet snoopy. It's so nice having kid rides that kids under 36 inches can ride without parents.
They could almost double the size of the park by eliminating the parking lot and building a few massive parking garages. Maybe also build one on the lot by the water park. They could also move some parking offsite, drop the price and provide free shuttle service to the gate.
They really should just trash the whole campground area. This is not a big moneymaker. They could easily expand both the waterpark and the amusement park AND add a new hotel in that spot and probably make considerably more money.
Love to see this as Cedar Point's next coaster, in this plot of land. 14:30 ruclips.net/video/TL5aTXiM91g/видео.html There needs to be a 360º Loop, a Banana Roll instead of a second Immelmann Loop, Double Inverting Cantilever Over Banked Curve and a 720º Zero-G Roll. But in all, I love it! With a Vekoma Version of this B&M Flying Creation Called. ruclips.net/video/EtjGqS7Slrc/видео.html With a few more Inversions. Including a 720° Roll, A Pretzel Loop, a Couple of Overbanked Fly to Lie & Lie to Fly Turns, a 540° one and a half roll and a Lie Back Vertical Loop.
What do you think the odds are that TT2 and Sirens Curse are both operating in late August 25? Live in Florida. Got suckered into traveling to the park last late August. Had booked my trip 5 months in advance and had no way of canceling all my reservations. I'm hoping to come back again in late August but not booking until I know both coasters are operational.
I highly doubt theyll remove or relocate any storage buildings. And definitely wont reduce parking. Kiddie kingdom are and snake river/ Frontier fling area are by far the best. Compact family thrill wooden coaster would be great near the boardwalk. Then a Vekoma or BM flyer in Snake river plot. Perfect way to utilize the Prof. Delbert statue to create a story of petfecting his flying machine. Any new coasters beyond this will be replacements. Gemini and Corkscrew need to go in the next 10 years or so.
If TT2 doesn’t workout, there will be even more land available. Also I think the Vekoma Flyer if at high enough elevation may not require much tree removal.
They are not going to make another Giga, they already have one it would serve little reason, they are not going to hype a manufacturer record, glad you have given the RMC T-REX a rest however, the raptors are shaking apart, Jersey Devil is not that great, we don’t need a bigger one.
Look! The midway games are a waste of space! I have been going to this park for around 50 years. I now bring kids to the park and they are aware of how the dollar works. Ten-year-olds know where they would rather spend the dollars that they toss right in the trash here. Everyone knows the games are designed to favor the proprietor. That's not the issue! In the past, the games were a joke financially, but they at least allowed you to enjoy tossing your cash in the trash. Currently, the cost of throwing your money akids to the park. way vs a good time doing it is absurd! The whole gaming operation needs to go! Shame on Cedar Point for robing people with children, shame shame shame! Whoever decided to ruin the games but overcharging needs to go! Now the games are dead, scrape them, and add them to the graveyard on hallow weekends. They are already dead.
WHAT PARK SHOULD I DO NEXT FOR THIS SERIES? Let me know! 👕 👚: Check out my new coaster merch! www.keepridingcoasters.com Thank you all for watching!
BGW! I feel like they have a lot of unused forested land
Where would a new coaster fit in at disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
Dorney park. Give them some idead
Valleyfair
@@KeepRidinCoasters Show us what places in Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure could have Another Coaster.
The small warehouse building right next to gatekeeper (the smaller one) they use as one of the haunted houses on Halloweekends.
thank you :)
Ya it’s used for all costumes not just Halloween
It's for all costumes/wardrobe for the performers for the summer and also Halloweekends.

Interesting, I had no idea!
that big warehouse in the middle holds wardrobe, retail/shop offices, retail shop training.
Thanks for the info!
Honestly, It should be a few years before another coaster goes to Cedar Point.
I don't know if you realized it but you did say between mean streak and Gemini

If parking is a concern I wonder if it would be possible to offer ferry service to the park to different parts in the Sandusky bay.
Or bus service
