    I don't usually comment on educational videos, butI have been confused about how Miller Indices work for what feels like forever! Your trick for factoring out numbers larger than one just gave me a breakthrough. Thank you!

    I think they draw the line out of the cube to show that it can exist as any length. A unit vector describes the slope therefore the red line is just a part of a direction.

    Dear ma'am, if we are asked to draw the crystallographic direction given by the Miller indices [333], then shouldn't this direction be the same as that given by the Miller indices [111]
