    that moment wen you are confused before the exam and you find the break through..that info is very helpful .I wuldnt waste my time to go and see the lecturer..U THE BEST

    I have a fluid mechanics background, and I have almost zero ideas about crystal structures.     As a matter of fact, I think that red arrows going beyond the cell are not that much confusing. :)

    I think they draw the line out of the cube to show that it can exist as any length. A unit vector describes the slope therefore the red line is just a part of a direction.
