Preserving Fresh Food for the Pantry Challenge!

After the holidays, I found I had a few things in the fridge that I knew I wouldn't eat before they went bad. I didn't want to waste the food, so I decided to turn this into a win win for future cooking by preparing all of the food and throw it in the freezer. In this video, I'm juicing the rest of the apples I got this fall, chopping some celery and carrots (including dicing and julienne carrots) and then mincing ginger. I learned in this video that a pound of ginger takes a while to prepare, but I think it will be so worth it to take a puck out of the freezer and be able to cook with it in the future.
