I get real good SWR readings on my non-grounded fiberglass GMRS antenna I have 20’17” in the air. However, today was horrible for GMRS repeater talking…the weather was making my radio transmission full of static I was told, which, I’ve never had that problem before. I even heard some of the guys saying they saw Northern Lights in Texas and Louisiana today. Hmmm…okaaay. Tell me again what that doo-dadd is right before your radio mic plugin bc I forgot. Have a good Sunday tomorrow! ~Jim~
I have an older video on the loop I believe I gave dimensions about this antenna. It’s 12’3” all 3 sides. I feed it at the bottom that way it’s horizontal polarization. Ok to attach the 50ohm coax there’s a couple of ways to do this since the antenna is around 200 ohms. Easy way is to buy a 4.1 Unun type balun or like I did use a 7’3” piece of 75ohm coax. I put a pl259 connector on one side of the 75ohm and use a barrel connector to hook up to the 50ohm coax that goes to your radio. That way you get a 49-50 ohm match. Mine loop swr is anywhere from 1.3 at 26.805 to 1.1 at 28.500.

Would you consider putting some specs and dimensions up, so folks could check them out and maybe build an antenna like that?
