Do you think it's worth it to milk the first turret section in stage 4? Granted it may be more difficult on RE: Extreme. All of my clears have been on RE: Normal and a close call on RE: Advanced but came up short. Only tried it a bit though, put more time into trying to improve scoring on RE: Normal than going up in difficulty. Interesting how the point blanking is brought even more into the gameplay loop on RE: Advanced or higher as you avoid suicide bullets by getting a PB kill. Love this game, my favorite STG. Also really dig the info about Rebrank and their ties to the other Doujin developers.
Oh wow, what a coincidence. I actually read a bit of your basic score guide on Steam a few days ago after stumbling onto it while browsing through my STG library. Nice to see the game still gets some attention even to this day! Unfortunately it's been a long time since I've really tried scoring this game - and even then I was still unable to fully grasp the system even after observing replays (it always came across to me as "do this, it gets more points"). I can't really say anything for sure about scoring.
The soundtrack is incredible and I think I'll buy it whilst on sale now just for that.. But really, I love shmups and this is the exact kind I hate - way too busy and no power ups.. If only Raiden 4 had this music!
So question, can you only fight the TFB on Extreme? Or is there a pre-set ordeal you need to achieve to fight them? I'm still getting used towards the game on normal, pretty fun, but it kinda sucks that a run ends always at the 'mid-boss'.
You can fight the TLB on Normal, but it must be the second entry point technically "RE" normal difficulty. Some elements added to increase the difficulty slightly (some suicide bullets, more boss hp). Mode requires the player to one cc and is unlocked after clearing the game regularly on normal (you can continue on the initial normal clear and it will still unlock if I'm not mistaken).
It does, but the issue is that I don't HAVE that second option. I guess what should be asked is what counts as 'clearing the game'? I've been able to beat it on normal ( that stops at the 'mid-boss' and then declares a 'reset' ) a few times already with no new second mode unlocking. Do I have to beat the game once per character or something? Or do I need to beat it once per difficulty?
If you don't damage the mid boss where you are "charging up" the final boss quickly enough it will time out and you will receive the bad ending like a standard normal mode clear.
This have great ost , so amazing !!
Amazing SFXs! It looks surprisingly fair (almost easy too). Definitely one title to try out.
Nice strats

Woah, what does C22 from the original Samidare have to do with all this?
8 years late but...Miria *is* C22.
How do you save in this game?
The last attack of the TLB is copying Yuyuko's last spell.
