I stayed here recently. This ashram has few devotees that are still there. Much has changed and a lot more will in the near future. Very nice place to get spiritual advancement. For anybody considering the monk lifestyle, this is the Radha Krishna Temple in Brooklyn New York, 305 Schemerhorn. They need more devotees to carry on their mission which is growing expedentially.
You made it pretty far off the sidewalk with this one. You've got a wonderful documentarian's approach brewing with this series. Most iconic commute scene ever.

We have Hare Krishna's here as well and I always wondered like.. what do they do in their life? Do they work something and go walk and sing in the evenings or how it all works, this has definitely given me an interesting perspective and showed me their lifestyle, thank you
This is more than just meditation & the beating of drums; this brings more hope to Brooklyn which needs so much more than the worldly madness it's known for.
The entire neighborhood has changed. I lived down the street from the temple about 15 years ago. Before that, Henry St. was my home, then 55th St in Manhattan, Loved visiting the temples, but I feel the movement has changed. Too cliquey. Devotees need to make more of an effort in welcoming visitors, and seekers.
