IMO, fully HALF of these scale aircraft models ARE OVER-WEATHERED. This, unfortunately, is the trend which scale-modeling has taken over the last 15 years or so. What is the idea, here? Is there a competition for modelers who can apply the most OIL WASHES on their models? I haven't attended any model shows or, indeed, even ENTERED any of my work in these "DIRT-COMPETITIONS" in YEARS... And the scale Military/Armor? Don't even get me started...
It’s to give the modes a more realistic look , do you really think all military aircraft were shiny and new looking absolutely not they fought in war so ofc they got dirty
