My grandmother had a story about watching a Memorial Day (then called Decoration Day) parade in Connecticut in either 1938 or 1939. First came a contingent of World War I veterans, mostly in early middle age, marching jauntily along. They were follow by some Spanish-American War veterans, moving a bit more slowly as befitted their age, a few of them using canes. Then the crowd erupted in applause. Riding in a car, as would be expected given their very old ages, were three Civil War veterans.
Nice, our parade seems like it is getting smaller every year to, but great job capturing it all tho, hope you all enjoyed your holiday, 👍🙏❤️😎til next time, bye
Loved the video! It's a shame that they don't do these kinds of things in Philly. Really nice. Definitely nerdy. Don't tell the wife I said that. 🤣 😉 Love ya brother and tell the family we said hello 👋
They may not do them in Philly but I do think they do them in Wildwood you might wanna look into the next time you’re down there especially if you’re there for a holiday.

Wow now that’s amazing. Now we have just a few WW2 yet left and I guess we will be telling the same story about them.
Looking good germy..I dig the wooden shades. 🕶✌

Hi
Hello Shelly. Thanks for stopping by.
8:52 PAUSE!
Seemed like a short parade. It doesn't matter what state you live in, the Memorial Day parades all seem to be the same.
Short in deed. We have a longer 4Th of July parade.
Yodelayheehoo
We did not have a parade
