26:47 that’s what I’m trying to figure out what kind of optical switches are these and what brand are they from? I’m trying to find them so I can replace the ones on my Nyxi Warrior, but I can’t seem to find it.
I was thinking of buying the V2, but was waiting for your review and I am glad I did. It has good performance and features, but at the cost of the build quality. The top part still looks incredibly cheap, due the way it is painted and for a "Collector's" edition, that is generally paint work, that ain't cool. The hot swappable sticks are cool, but for ~20 buck a module I don't think many people would bother, I personally wouldn't. Not being supported by the PC app is tragic, but they might add it at some point. I bought the G5 Pro (non max) for 22$, this one costing 60$ for the special edition and having a deduction in build quality will be a pass from me. If the build quality was the same (preferably better) then I think this would have been worth it. Thank you for the review!
On paper it competes with the Vader 4 Pro and other $70+ Pro controller range at less than $50 for the base V2, but seeing the low quality extra buttons is very disappointing. The extra button layout looked so much better than the Vader 4 Pro, Tarantula Pro, and Blitz 2.
Bought this but cancelled it in the last minute, switched to Vader 4 Pro instead, much happier! Unfortunately the vibration is poor, a farcry from my previous Dualshock
I bought a unit, I thought it had a defect in the RT button and sold it, then I bought another unit and it also came with the same problem of feeling that the RT is rubbing, the sensation when pressing the RT is horrible, now I bought a V2 version unit without the dock and it will be my last
I owned this controller, but had to return it to the seller because of shitty switches as you described. This was a critical issue to me. But I do like shortcut buttons placement, face buttons, d pad and ability to make almost all adjustments and remaps "on the fly". The idea of swappable sticks is great too.

Also, any plans to test the G6 Pro Nearlink? The price is pretty much the same as the G5 Pro V2 and I see it as a direct competitor. Thank you again!
I want to know if this one have the same problem od the previous version which the triggers rely on a stupid small piece of plastic that easily breaks and there is no way to fix
I was thinking about buying this... but saw you were testing it out. Glad I didnt buy it, I got the wolverine v2 chroma for $60 instead. The reason i trust razer's quality than machenike's. Replacable sticks does not makes sense to me if its costing 1/3 of the controller's price. Wolverine v3 TE might be the end game for me. Even though I already got the Vader 4 pro but still trying to find the best controller for my preference.
I have the G6pro here. My impression: Machenik does some things ok, but not really well. I couldn't change the joysticks, I was able to remove the built-in ones, but the new ones didn't hold in the case. There seems to be something wrong with the tolerances. So not usable. The linear triggers are switches in triggerlock mode. Actually cool, but the Switch is way too hard. in addition, there is a stroke distance to the switch of about 1mm. This means that you always have the feeling that the trigger is already avtivated, but you have only cleared the splay to the Switch itself. The feeling is just bad. The back buttons are like the old ones, much too hard, and have no real pressure point, so you don't feel in the game whether the button has been preessed or not. All in all: o.k., but for a flagship, rather not.
if the face buttons , the LB\RB and back buttons con not hold their input when pressed that should make this controller useless in the first place , I am still thinking about the Mechaniker G5pro V2 10th Anniversary Edition but with this many quality control issues , this controller is a mine field.
They do hold the input but you can't press them too lightly if you press and hold them with the right pressure they will keep the input And this problem only affects LB RB and the shortcut buttons
@VKsChannel thank you for the information, using unreliable inputs anywhere on the controller shouldn't happen, i use all buttons and play different games and being not able to reliably hold a button can and will make you lose or fail to do some actions . And i see that you recognized in the video that they are using very low quality switches, what's worrying for the longevity aswell. The Thunderobot G80 and the G5pro could be a better platformers for these modular sticks , but i was hoping to get TMRs !!
VK, Which one is worth getting between Machenike G5 Pro Max SE, EasySMX X10 and Flydigi Direwolf 2? I've seen several reviews of all three, and although the G5's looks are what catch my attention the most, I see many reports of various problems. Otherwise, they all have strong and weak points that I think are balanced. Which would be the most reliable to buy?
Flydigi is the most cost benefit it has a high build quality Easy smx x10 feels like a xbox controller clone but it performs very well it has low latency and it has a solid build quality too The machenike has the best looks but their software is a bit buggy, but you can use it once, configure it and never need to use it again, my only advice is that you shouldnt try to update it as some people have bricked their controllers while trying to update If I had to pick one I'd go with the machenike it has the looks the construction quality and the buggy software is fairly easy to deal with
