Cool Miguel! Learned a lot about horizontal moves to get a good version of the lick!! Da cat's meow! But gotta come back to own the licks!!! Thanks mucho!!! Johnny Pal
Thank you! It is a G2. I also have a SD-10 Royal Precision that is a great guitar as well. I’ve recently put BL 705 pickups in them and it took some of the shrill out of the high end. Mullen makes some great guitars and they are worth every penny. You can get some fancier guitars like the MSAs with light up fretboards and stuff, but you really can’t get any better.
The front neck is an E9 tuning. From top to bottom it goes F#-D#-G#(highest string)-E-B-G#-F#-E-D-B The back neck is a C6 tuning and goes D-E-C-A-G-E-C-A-F-C. That's used more for jazz and western swing. The pedals manipulate the tuning by pulling or releasing the tension on strings.
Great job. I play it like the first one you show .
Very Nice! Thanks for sharing Mike!!
Now maybe you can show me some of that cool Ralph Mooney stuff.

What kind of tone bar are you using? Thanks
BJs bars. 7/8” standard
Good morning, whats the tuning of the pedal Steel guitar?
The front neck is an E9 tuning. From top to bottom it goes F#-D#-G#(highest string)-E-B-G#-F#-E-D-B
The back neck is a C6 tuning and goes D-E-C-A-G-E-C-A-F-C. That's used more for jazz and western swing.
The pedals manipulate the tuning by pulling or releasing the tension on strings.
@@steelymike9995 thank you very much for the completed explanation about the tuning! Good bless you. Greetings from Brazil!
Where can I learn this instrument?
Right here on my channel! Unfortunately they are very difficult to find in music stores to try out and play.
Thats E9th tuneing
Correct
Something sounds so odd hearing the guitar without the other instruments. Maybe I just miss the steel guitar intro. Solid cover though.
Understandable. Pedal steel isn’t really meant to be played by itself without accompaniment.
You should explain the picking better
Are you talking which fingers to use? I’ll try to keep that in mine for the next video I make.
Suggestion for you and all instructors..
Play what you are about to explain, all the way through...FIRST.
Talking for the first part is a sleeper
