My folks do too. I saw a video of one used as a bell the other day, it sounded great. There's a couple at the pit, but can't really throw it in my lunch box to bring it home!
It was cool to finally get an ip close tour. Could have cut out the noise more, and sped up the part loading the rock truck to shorten the video, but neat to see.

Adjustable to any size. I'm not 100% clear on what's changed for that, I believe screens and distances between cones. I think they check everything midday and service daily. Midday would be a good time to find hot spots. I know some people (unless they lose it like I did) use an infrared gun to check bearings.
That is a cool set up. We’ve got one of those cones as a fire pit. Works great.
