Lunella Jumps On The Portal | Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur "OMG Issue" Final Scene

- Devil is alive and has Casey and they and Lunella find the Enclave's hidden base and attempt to rescue Mimi, who reveals that she'd figured out that Lunella and Moon Girl are one and the same. Morlak activates the machine and brings in three creatures which he controls with a special whistle. The Heroes manage to send the monsters back home, but the deranged Morlak opens another one and gets sucked in despite Mimi's efforts. Lunella and Mimi close the portal, but Lunella is forced to go through it in order to shut it off. Devastated, Mimi declares that she is going to find and rescue Lunella. In a post-credits scene, Lunella awakens in a void and wonders aloud where she is.
Maybe Lunella got transported into the Beyonder's homeworld since the creators said he's gonna play a much bigger role in season 2.
Or maybe she got transported to Hamster and Gretel's world 🌎

From what I can tell, a lot of modern serialized shows start off episodic as a means to gain some traction (which makes the networks happy), iron out the character writing/worldbuilding, and let people get attached to the characters before things get serious. I haven't watched it myself, but Hailey's On It seems to be using this approach too. Outside of Disney, I've also seen Monkie Kid, Rise of the TMNT, and Glitch Techs use this approach (well, the latter two started with this approach, but were axed early in their runs)

Part of me feels like that story-wise, Mimi should’ve gone through the portal, and it would drive Moon Girl to get her grandmother back.
I thought that but then Mimi and that guy would have been together plus Mimi knows the full story so it would be better for her to tell everybody if need be

It's more interesting from a story perspective to see Lu make the sacrifice as the hero and Mimi have to deal with consequences of it on her side. Otherway around is sorta vanilla. Really ballsy choice, I could see the deliberations in the staff rooms over it.

The TOH vibes am getting from this show really give me hope. TOH isn't the last serialized show yall, this is continuing the traumatic S1 finales tradition.
I hate cliffhangers, and I hate the fact that it takes so long just to make up another season. I hope season 2 can be made faster than half a year.

Lunella didn't die, she just got transported to another dimension, which is a fate worse than death. Is this the end of Moon Girl? We'll find out in the next Season.

This 2-part season finale “OMG Issue” is where the story-driven serialized narrative starts to take over, in case anyone’s wondering. I can’t help but feel like MGADD is gonna be treated like TOH, with S1 having less than 20 eps and being mostly episodic with the serialized narrative taking over starting with the final two episodes, Season 2 having more than 20 eps and being more serialized so you need to keep up with the show to know what’s going on, and then Season 3 being shortened to either 3, 4, 5, or 6 1-hour long specials and the crew having to wrap up everything in a short amount of time. But hopefully Disney treats this show better than TOH and gives it a full 3rd season because I see this show as Disney Channel’s last redemption at serialized shows before moving to Disney+, so if they screw this show over, Disney Channel won’t be redeemed.
Owl House was cancelled because the show had several openly LGBT characters and put Luz in a gay relationship- I mean, sorry, the show didn't fit the Disney brand... Amphibia managed to get its full third season no problem though (despite having a near identical premise and target audience but I digress, Owl House didn't fit the brand)
Moon Girl has *some* openly LGBT characters, but they're all minor and can mostly be censored out. So I can see the show surviving for a full 3-4 seasons.

At the very least, they _had_ to have felt the explosion in Lunella's lab, since the lab's right below their complex and the flames, fumes, and such reached the surface.

When Lunella created Skipster, it basically showed us a glimpse of future season 1 episodes before they came out and we never realized it. In one of the “future skips”, Lunella was battling an alternate version of herself. And according to Marvel Comics, Lunella got trapped in a portal (after battling some giant bugs) and she encountered alternate versions of herself and Devil Dinosaur. So maybe perhaps that’s where Lunella ended up in the season 1 finale
What do you think would be the Beyonder's "MUCH BIGGER ROLE" in the Season 2.
The beyonder could easily bring her back. But knowing his nature, he would want to spend time with her first before doing so. I'm starting to think he might be her ninja ninja.

Disney is the type of company to drop something that is perfectly good, I know they already ordered a second season, but they could cancel that because of the immense “nothing” that this show stirred up

LOL), likely her counterpart from Counter-Earth.
If I had a nickel for everytime a Disney TVA Season Finale Ended with the main character being stuck in another world, I’d have 3 nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s wierd that it happened thrice

By the way Discord is a character from My little pony friendship is magic. He is one of my favorite characters and he had so much character development. Unlike the Beyonder. Imagine if she got teleported to the beyonder’s world, where she will bring up our beyonder and potentially either get in big trouble for associating with a criminal, or revered for associating with a celebrity. If you ever read or hear about the comic. You know that our beloved moon girl is immortal with many power. In the show she has none of her abilities that she gain after meeting devil. She always been smart but get power due to a accident trying to save devil. I know that at some point she may get her power but I didn't know it may be like this.
