i am in tears. how is it possible that there was not a museum honoring our ancestors when our ancestors built our nation's capital and its monuments? love the location...how fitting. I really hope you have the stories of how successful we were building our own communities before they were brutally interrupted and looted and torn down...mainly black wall street where our own country used military means to slaughter my ancestors and destroy their successful community. really hope you didn't miss that opportunity to inspire our youth that we actually did have our own...several times. i say that because i am shocked how many black people do not know these stories.
