This is a very rare song, and one of her most beautiful. It is tender, real, and loving. I wish she would release it again. I can't find a good version since the 80s (and I can't find that either). A talented and deep artist.
This is by far my favorite of Jane's songs. This is a nice rendition but my favorite is the one in the album with the steel guitar. One cannot possibly understand this song fully without the explanation in the liner notes. It is an example of empathy; such as I've never ever come across before - and I suspect will ever in my life. I hope someone will post the studio version someday.
The most beautiful and haunting rendition of this song was a cover here on youtube by a most gifted and talented young woman. I became transcendant; and all I could do was favorite her. It was just her sitting on the floor, with her guitar. I was moved. I came back to have another listen and found her video gone... her channel gone... and her name is lost to me. If anyone knows the name of this goddess of song, please send me a message with her name. I'd love to catch up with this muse.
Love her recorded version. Can't hear it without crying. Very powerful!
Jane's best and most melodic song.

SUCH a beautiful song. Thanks Jane xxx
I like the feel Jane gives this song here, how it swings.... ebbs and flows.... Jane Rules !!!
Beautiful song.... better by this original artist. She breathes this song, like her soul.
I write songs as a hobby, When I hear Jane Siberry sing, my songs, by comparison, sound like sneakers banging around in a clothes dryer.
