@@Amy-yy7jxyour SKIN is the largest organ in your body. So we’ll start with that…but yes it can harm other organs including her ovaries. There are synthetic dyes and numerous unknown chemicals used to process this “hair” it’s not hair, it’s plastic, acrylic, polyester, nylon, etc…which we should all know is highly flammable as well. The nails are also dangerous because of the chemicals in nail polish and the unsanitary nature of nail salons. Looking cute is one thing, but you can do it safely and age appropriately for your kids. The same reason why men aren’t teaching their sons to respect natural hair. Shit they low key hate their own hair and shave it off. Damn near no maintenance and we’re calling them cute for it🗿 All the comments that made me hate myself were coming from young black boys trying to impress their friends Fitting is lame but I swear it protects your mental health. And then in the same breath, complements me when nobody is around, or, be nice when I have weave in (or new clothes). Most black girls just made me a spectacle. Some do some don’t. Not all African Americans and/or black people are the same especially when it comes to hair. Plenty of people wear natural styles and plenty wear pressed out around plenty when braids or dreds and plenty were wigs/ weaves. Tons of diversity
i love the mommy daughter time, but personally, i’m not doing all of that for a high schooler, unless possibly prom night. no fake lashes AT ALL, & no wigs not yet, she got college years to do all that & then i won’t mind.
Wig don’t make you ugly? Wigs Don’t make you cute. It’s literally just because everybody wears wigs. Nowadays you can change if their hairstyle is way easier than natural hair so I understand why you wanna live like I am a girl who loves her natural hair and loves to get braids, but sometimes it’s just easier to wear a wig Plus you can change the hairstyle hair color. It won’t even damage your natural hair. There’s so many benefits, just wearing a wig.
We wear wigs not because we are not beautiful but, because we can and we like them. 🎉 I have worn wigs for years, before the big trend. I knew I was pretty, felt it too. I am very confident, with or without the wig. I also have and had a head full of hair. I wear them only because I love them, the different styles 😊.
She looks beautiful!!! The sad part is she has NOT a 1 backpack or any mentions of a an academic goal while going above and beyond a cute goal!!!! BRAIN s + BEAUTY!!!! Not just lace fronts and wigs with NO BRAIN!!!😢
She's super cute! I ironed uniforms. I have a Barney/Backyardigan kid, so she was only happy about her ponytails and shoes. The school is so strict. They measure skirt length around here.
She has her whole life for this and more!!! 😢 Instill in her a greater sense of who she is in self-worth & capabilities through academics/talents. That way when the world tells her (and it will) that her worth is in looks, clothes, bags, she will have confidence in who she is. Not what she looks like or has on.
How do you know from this one clip of 3 days out of 365 days that she isn’t instilling any of that in her daughter and this is just content for SM? How is this any different than sitting in a chair for 6-9 hrs for hair braiding or getting a fresh relaxer for back to school. Also too, you can focus on academics and looks. Why won't black mothers teach their daughters to embrace their natural hair?
The same reason why men aren’t teaching their sons to respect natural hair. Shit they low key hate their own hair and shave it off. Damn near no maintenance and we’re calling them cute for it🗿
All the comments that made me hate myself were coming from young black boys trying to impress their friends
Fitting is lame but I swear it protects your mental health. I learned the hard way by being called ugly, posting pics of me on FB for them to call me nappy headed and fat, including me in a discussion I never asked about, just to say they don’t to be with me; putting their hands on me and calling me manly as an excuse. And then in the same breath, complements me when nobody is around, or, be nice when I have weave in (or new clothes).
Most black girls just made me a spectacle. Wearing my patience down to a nib by calling me a black white girl, weird for liking books and comics, called me BRAVE for wearing my natural hair..yet trying to play in it and say it could never be them. Very backhanded and shady
That’s the school environment for a black girl without loose curls or a perm. Even then they’ll catch strays for it not being long enough or healthy (due to freaking chemical damage)
who says she doesn’t love her natural hair, you’re just making assumptions without any evidence. my sister loves her hair and yet she wants a wig every now and then. it’s not a crime to indulge in yourself and what you want
Smh! Delete this comment. It be our own people tearing us down. Black folks can pick and choose whatever hair style we want. Natural or not, neither one is considered "better" 🙄🤦🏾♀️
Some do some don’t. Not all African Americans and/or black people are the same especially when it comes to hair. Plenty of people wear natural styles and plenty wear pressed out around plenty when braids or dreds and plenty were wigs/ weaves. Tons of diversity
What about white woman?
i love the mommy daughter time, but personally, i’m not doing all of that for a high schooler, unless possibly prom night. no fake lashes AT ALL, & no wigs not yet, she got college years to do all that & then i won’t mind.

Then don't do it..
You are so incredible. I hope as loving as you as a momma
Why dose she wear wigs like she already pretty and beautiful
the wigs don’t take away from the beauty ..
I have worn wigs for years, before the big trend.

Thank you!

As lovely as this young lady looks, she doesn’t even have enough room in her purse for a notebook and a pen so she can write down what she needs for the rest of the year. i genuinely don’t get what y’all mean by this . wearing a wig , nails , etc doesn’t automatically mean there’s an issue wit themselves . natural hair takes a lot more work (AND TIME) to maintain daily , this is easier for some ppl . it isn’t always an insecure thing .
@@neptuniantreasure you have an Asian woman for your avatar lol. The problem is teaching young women they need to be something they’re not.
@@WilliamsPinch my profile (of a SINGER) has nothing to do with this . i’m black and VERY much proud , dpwm . y’all are projecting your insecurities onto a teenager you don’t know . if she wanted to wear it and her mom lets her , what’s the big deal here ? honestly ? it’s literal hair , her character hasn’t changed .
@@neptuniantreasureso maintaining your natural nails and lashes became difficult now? What are you saying. The hair is part of this clown thing. Please the hair+the nails+the fake lashes is giving my daughter wants to be a grown ass adult or my daughter is insecure about her natural look so I will buy her some costume accessories instead of inspiring her to be her beautiful self
😮💨 this is why I always tell me daughter she's beautiful. She's happy 2 rock 2 strand twist in her hair and it's down the middle of her back never had a relaxer.
I hope that child understands how truly Blessed she is to have such an Amazing Mother!!!❤❤❤❤. I grew up less than poor. I got a fresh pair of Chucks and a cute Ponytail. That was it!!! No extras. This Mom goes above and Beyond! ❤😇
And you were still blessed
@@IdidntAskuAnything . Yes! Very! Ty!😇
Final look was 🔥 🔥 🔥
She is so blessed to have such a caring and involved mother❤
You made her look like a grown up lady. What do you achieve by this? My dad and mom let me to be a kid in my early years and it was a privilege. Through high school, it was school and sisterhood. I got to meet a good man in college and here we are now building our little home.
Maybe it’s just a difference in how we view things, but Her natural hair is beautiful and worth celebrating and promoting for her senior year too, just my thoughts and perspective, no hate meant.
I’ve learned on this journey that the more you learn to remove the need to validate yourself through outside approvals or opinions (aka others), the more you are able to celebrate yourself, your unique traits, physical and personal characteristics, and truly walk this life in peace, power, and comfort knowing and loving your own skin, hair, personality traits, characteristics, life, tribe etc. ❤
Yea true.
Anyways getting extended hair is a Personal choice.
I do it mostly bc I luv it and feel great with it and its a lot prettier not bc I wanna validate others but myself.
Period 😌
You are not wrong!! Wearing a wig as a teenager and in high school is mental illness
Girl she damn near grown she a senior stfu
