Not as fast as a Chevelle? Thats a broad statement. Car and Driver tested a 69 W31 4 speed and clocked a 14.5 @97 mph. Not faster than a LS6 454 thats true, 402 big block automatic Chevelles had trouble breaking into the 14s. 350 cubic inch Chevelles had trouble running 15s.

a 72 350 balancer looks almost identical to a real w-31 balancer.
they should have gotten a better shot of the balancer.
