    As a Swede, I want to thank all our new amazing allies for coming to Sweden for these exercises! American soldiers are really friendly and as eager to learn as they are to teach and share their experience with our soldiers. Lets prepare for the worst to come, but hope for peace!

      Swedes and most Americans actually share much of a no-bullshit fiercely pragmatic attitude. And an ideal that a man should be able to learn and do anything, as quick as possible. it stems from an heritage of being quite alone in a vast and sparsely populated country, an outback where there were few specialists around. You had to be self-reliant, a bit towards an indigenous hunter-gatherer population compared to sophisticated Europe. Actions speak louder than words here. The difference is that the swedes are better educated and well read, in average, reading has long been a pastime here, and have an instinct to be good group members - but of course American soldiers are that too, maybe even more - the US military is the only thing in the USA that is allowed to operate on a non-individual, and thus socialist, ground. ;D

      @@filipandersson67 "Gå på" is an old saying from the Great Power-era of Swedish history, around the 16- to 1700's.
      It basically translates to "keep moving" - "move faster" or "keep pace". The literal translation is "walk on."
      The term is still used to this day, both in civilian and military life. For instance, if you're out walking with some people, and need to keep up a certain pace, or increase it. You'd tell your compatriots to "gå på".

    These exercises are futile with out the use of imitation drone attacks.
    Any vehicle out in the open is getting wiped out.
    This is the state of modern warfare so should be training accordingly.

    • @freezedeve3119
      @freezedeve3119 3 месяца назад +24

      drones does not remove the fact that you should know how to fight against other targets too.
      drones itself are not really anything new as air threat has always been there, reason why drones are so much used on Ukraine is that either side can not use their planes freely.
      Drones are just one small part of bigger picture.

    • @nubbetudde8922
      @nubbetudde8922 3 месяца назад +6

      If you want's to move a vehicle on Gotland you will have to move in the open. Most of the green fluffy stuff you see on the map is less than 5 feet in height. Yes there are rather large parts with ordinary forests but you need to move between them.

    • @amadeuz8161
      @amadeuz8161 3 месяца назад +12

      Then its a training ground, they are usually a lot more open because of the heavy usage. Plus that the drones would have to cross a sea that and the units that would land there won't have 1000's of drones with em so they would have recon ones probably plus that EVERY PLACE ON EARTH AINT FLAT AND OPEN LIKE UKRAINE!
      Like go fly a drone out on an island in the archipelago during 14m/s winds... Even worse winds out at sea so they need a calm day to cross but then again the boats they are coming with would be easyily spotted.
      So if you want realism then also move your brain to the area you are trying to make realistic. Bigger chance they would use the normal stuff than a darn drone, like shove those drones up your... The world is not like Ukraine...
      Yes drones have their uses but why even teach a team to drive and fire at a target "BECAUSE THERE ARE DRONES".
      Sorry but getting fed up on everyone being an armchairgeneral... My first training that I remember was crawling through forest ant paths reaching cover and if you were unlucky you got a anthill in the way, oddly the trainers never crawled even if the enemy was shooting at us so was probably not realistic enough for you. The lesson I took from it was that crawling aint fun but it can be worse and we got a candy bar because everyone made it. My point is that you start to crawl, then you stand up, then you walk and finally you start running so your drones had nothing to do with this training. Like they do probably still train hiding from imaginary planes and drones but you can't always only do that. Should the trainer next time at the shooting range randombly throw stuff on them shouting "drone" instead of teaching em to shoot?!?

      The CV 9040 got 3p ammo that can use timed or proximity air burst to take out drones quickly.
      There is also the SPAAG version with radar, but even the regular variant will have the sensor tower.

      The Ak5(FN FNC variant) accepts every 5.56×45 STANAG magazine. (M16/M4)
      And the current version, the Ak5C, was first issued with transparent polymer mags, but they are not as numerous as the older steel mags, and since the conscript system was reinstated, there just isn't enough plastic mags to go around, but there should be *over* 8 million steel mags in mobilisation storage depots. (In a country with only 10million inhabitants)

      Don't know what weaposn you tslk sbout thst are 50 years old. The only ones I could sse was the MG and the Carl Gustsv. The MG is still one of the best in the world and the Carl Gustav is constantly having new munition bring developed. But most of the old gears and weapons are soon gone.. New weapons and new gear are beeing implemented over the next few years.

      Only 50 year old gun in the video is Ksp 58 (FN MAG) and it's still one of the best and most battle tested machine gun in the world, only "gear/equipment" outdated in this video is one of the vehicles that is beeing replaced but it has not been a priority to replace them for the support lines becuse they still do their job well back there they are not beeing used anywere near frontlines there vehicles like CV90, and patrol vehicles like RG-32M, AK5c (still a good rifle but heavy)will be replaced by a sako rifle in the next few years together whit the marksman(currently H&K G3 still a good weapon but heavy) and sniper rifles (currently L118A2 still a good rifle but small caliber in 7.62 nato), so im not realy sure what you mean whit your comment.

      Most soldier gear doesn't really get obsolete making old gear work fine, not that there were much that were old enough to warrant complaining about.

      The US military main .50cal machine gun is an antique that was designed more than 90 years ago, so fifty years ain't so bad.
