Today is #Mahalaya2020 . We are one month away from Bengal's biggest festival #DurgaPuja and about 25 days from #Navaratri. The 10 days of festivities celebrate the homecoming of #MotherGoddess Durga, whom we also know as Parvati, Kali, Chandi, Sati and several other names. Let us recapitulate the 9 primary forms of #DeviDurga which we worship during the 9 days.
There are multivarious forms of Maa, and devi #MahishasurMardini is the widely worshipped deity in Bengal during this festival; the great battle of #GoodOverEvil is celebrated with grandeur. However, during #Covid19, the celebrations have lost their glory. Yet we hope on this Mahalaya, that Mahadevi will awaken, come to Earth and bless us with happiness, positivity, protection and a sin free life.
