Hello. Hobie Lynx is 36 in wide and weights 63 lbs, max load on the SUP Taxi is 55 lbs and max width is 34 in. Consider the Yakima BigCatch, it may be a better solution. www.rackattack.com/kayak-racks/yakima-bigcatch/ Thanks.
Hello. This carrier will accommodate boards 28 inches to 34 inches in width, here's a link to the manual which provides further details: www.rackattack.com/public/product-instructions/Thule_SUP_Taxi_XT_810001_v01.pdf Thanks!
Hello. Yes, the Thule SpeedLink crossbar mounting hardware is very versatile and approved for the Model Y roof rack and most Yakima roof rack systems (minimum crossbar spacing is 24 inches) Thanks!
Hello. The SUP Taxi is designed specifically for paddleboards, consider instead the Thule DockGrip which is approved for both kayaks and paddleboards. Thanks! www.rackattack.com/kayak-racks/thule-895-dockgrip/
Hello. Aline the ridges on the grey knobs of the SpeedLink hardware to lock. Pull downward on the security cable/nylon strap while turning the key on the gray knob to lock the boards. Hope this helps. Thanks!
Buyer beware- when the ends of the straps begin to fray (like mine did after the first summer) kiss it goodbye. You won't be able to thread it through the holder and then all of that wonderful engineering and design goes right out the window.
It's a terrible design but there is a work around. Chop the end of the strap right up to the end of the aircraft cable. This way it's stiff enough to go through.
Thule completely ruined this rack. Used to be the beat in the business, allowing a clamp to come down over the strap. Now you have to thread through the lock which on a truck is virtually impossible. Another example of overthinking a once great device.
It was a shame when they moved away from that clamp, but they really had to do something. There were so many instances where it wasn't being clamped in or used properly and the boards would slip when driving. Having to top feed it like that makes it more of a challenge, I agree. The Moki doorstep helped me with that height problem though! www.rackattack.com/roof-rack-accessories/moki-door-step/
Gah I agree! I’m having a huge problem getting my straps through… even have tweezers in the car to try and grab it to pull through… anything that can solve this?!
Hello. Yes, some users may feel comfortable with only straps, however, other prefer the adjustable, contoured rubber bases with locking straps and locking crossbar mounting. Thanks!

I have this setup. I have used it for many years with one SUP, but can I put two rigid SUPs on the system safely?
Beautiful review - thank you
We accidentally put one of the key chambers in the wrong bracket. is there a way to pull that back out to insert it in the other bracket? Thank you.
Can this hold 3 surf boards?
I like it but need one to fit surfboards, both long and mid size with average widths of 23 inches.
Wonder if hobie lynx can be accommodated with this?

Could this hold up to 4 Surfboards?
Hello. The SUP Taxi is rated to transport up to two boards maximum. Thanks!
Hello, great videos. Can this be used with a Yakima roof rack (on Tesla Model Y)? Thank you!

Would this rack system work for my sit-in kayak?

Can this be mounted on the OEM Mazda CX5 roof racks?
Hello. Yes, the SUP Taxi, has mounting hardware to attach security to the 2017-2023 Mazda CX-5 factory crossbars. Thanks!
Will this model work with Thule Square bars?
Hello. Yes, the SUP Taxi's mounting hardware will connect to Thule SquareBars. Thanks!
I just bought mine yesterday and cannot get it to lock.

How many SUPs can it hold and will these clamp down on the Thule Canyon XT roof basket?
I've seen them attached to a Canyon, on the accessory bar and the back portion is I remember correctly. The Thule SUP Taxi will hold 2 Sups.
How noisy is this rack without a SUP attached? Seems to me the strap would be vibrating, hence noisy, like crazy!
Hello. The strap sits low in a channel to minimize wind noise. The carriers can be quickly removed entirely to eliminate noise all together. Thanks!
Great help. Manual sucks. Thank you!

Hello. These straps are replaceable and Thule would very likely cover this under warranty: help.thule.com/s/warranty?language=en_US Thanks!

Over engineered solution. Just need to strap the SUP to the roof rails, no need for SUP Taxi.
