    During college in the ATs office: 10 mins still, 5 mins with the jet on. Those 5 mins were tough!

    Yep, I would stay very still while I was learning. And then over time start to move my arms around and realize very quickly that I got cold again. Nice way to make the water last longer too when you’re only using ice and you don’t have a pump.

  • @redplanet667
    @redplanet667 3 месяца назад

    totally agree, I take cold showers and if you just stand still you become numb to it but if you keep moving it stays cold, moving around is the way to get the benefit of cold water

    @dmtjnani9951 3 месяца назад

    Indeed. Although both methods are frighteningly great for me, I have convinced the body to move as often as possible. Lately I have been spinning around every minute for 6 minutes. And always end with three turns right before getting out to honor Ganga.

    What they don’t tell you about cold water immersion is that the stress hormones are really bad for you and the dopamine is simply there to reward you for not dying from hypothermia! Nobody has lived longer because of cold water immersion.

      They are digging them because the people that think ice baths are some fucking “primal” trail of suffering tend to live the most pampered and pain free lives. Rogan being a prime fucking example lmao.

      You dont get the point. If you are comfortable, you arent going out of your comfort zone. Every bath should suck as bad as the 1st time, and to do that, you have to make it harder on yourself as you get better. That is what he is saying. No first timer is gonna sit stoically and be all cool on their first 50 plunges. So your emotions are misplaced

    it's so silly... impress us with something that actually matters and doesn't only benefit you. You're screaming for people to admire you so bad and don't even notice. Like hey, look at me, I'm SO tough, I do ice baths.
    Pf, who cares. That crap doesn't matter. It's so insignificant.

      @@aidancarver8276 My point was about how stupid it is to brag about this. Are ice baths a bit beneficial for your well being? Probably. I'm not criticizing or questioning that. My point was that he's bragging and comparing how tough he is because of how well he can endure ice baths.
      Like who gives a crap. I'm just tired of people online talking about insignificant things like they are soooo meaningful. This dude just wants to feed his ego and you're apparently absolutely not seeing that.
