This is a great video. I learned so much. Really interested to discover the country of origin for wire too. I have bail pliers but never had used them. After viewing you, I dragged them out and made some hanging hooks for my tassels❤. A win for sure. I just lucked into three bags of new assorted wires at a thrift store, so I have plenty of wire to practice on. Thank you. You are an excellent teacher.
Many thanks. Have looked at tons of videos on this loop and I could not easily get it looking right. Until your Video it just resonated with me the way you do it. Intuitively I was doing many things the way you were as well as it felt great to see that. Have nailed them now, they are easy for me the way you do them. I very much appreciated your Video and will be watching more.
Love your hack of making the bend after the loop in the simple loop! I'm going to try this for my loops! thanks for all your tutorials I have learned a lot!
What a great way to start the beaded chain challenge!! Very clear instructions and informative for people who are starting out and even seasoned makers, as I didn't know that there was a medium temper. I've only heard of dead soft and half-hard. L I need to give that a try because I prefer to use half-hard when doing simple loops but I definitely feel it at the end of the day. So, hopefully the medium temper will be the happy medium that'll work best for me!! This video is the perfect example of why I watch videos that may seem like they're geared towards newbies because there's always something in them that's new information to me. For example, I did my wrapped loops one way and was never happy with the loops, so when I saw Kellie Sutton show her technique, it was like the light bulb got changed. Now, I do sometimes wrap my loop while still on my pliers (like you do), although she discourages it, because I saw your finished loops and they were just as well formed. So, I have learned to do a wrapped loop from multiple different sources!! I cheated and did my first beaded chain yesterday because I went brain-soft and forgot that August has 31 days but I'll just consider my week from Saturday through Friday!! 😂😂 Happy beading!! 😁📿🫶🏻
LOL! You've got a head start on me! I really like learning from multiple sources too, because sometimes one method clicks better for me than another & I think most of the time it's personal preferences.
Thank you for sharing your wire knowledge...it's awesome. Though I'm not going to take on the same challenge, but I do plan on making a beaded chain or two this month.
Thank you. Of course I spent the last hour making fancy links with 22 gauge stainless steel, and now I am thinking I should redo them all with 20 gauge. Sigh, the curse of a newbie.
Hi Beki 👋 my niece just bought me a bead kit called The EXPRESS YOUR CREATIVE SPIRIT I LOVE IT. 💖💖💖💖 So, Beki how's the jewelry making coming along for you? Beki do you make Earrings? And how many pairs of Earrings do you make at a time? Beki I love making Earrings; I've got 39 pairs of Earrings made so far 👍🤣👋💖
Your explanation of gauge (thickness) was okay until you said "the smaller the gauge, the thinner the thickness...) As you know - from the examples you gave - the smaller the gauge, the thicker is the wire.

You're right and that was probably confusing.
