These neighbourhoods are so clean!!! Wow!
One of the things that always impressed me. The public Villages roads are manicured, weeds removed, bushes trimmed. It's beautiful. Even trash is non existent

There is a cracker barrel up by orange blossom but you need the golf cart pass to get into. They have Walmart, Aldi's, cracker barrel, and much more.

(Suzie) Hi Jerry and Linda! We are in Michigan with our horses for the summer, but we watched this show and it made me so homesick for our new home in The Village of St. Catherine! Looking forward to getting back, although the horses are loving the cool weather up here!!
Susie, we envy you with horses! We used to have a couple and loved to ride them. The horses that live around here (and there are many) must get really hot in the summer time.

Thank you!! It is very difficult to combine 3 cameras into one show, but we do enjoy riding very much. We will try to add more shows, hoping that people don't get bored with it.

What a fun video...I love when you take us for golf cart rides. It's funny, because I've never even been there, and I feel like I know my way around! Jerry, you're such a wonderful narrator, from the different landmarks to the plants and wildlife, and even a few driving lessons thrown in! Hey guys just got back it's so different to see these ride alongs now that we know the places and names . While the food is terrible except Red Sauce pizza 👍we spent the whole week in a state of euphoria cart rides,bike rides,concert @ Savannah,put n play,swimming,bands at the squares .We met lots of great people make room we're coming back to stay 😁
Drove 15 hrs back to Ohio to be welcomed by a Tornado very near! watches an sirens for us and woke up to 58 deg great googly moogly we're out of here

Good Thursday morning Jerry, Linda and Gizzy. Nice long ride along. My friends and I played Evans Prairie yesterday afternoon and saw a raccoon leaving the marsh land and going between the houses. Will catch the rest of the ride along in a little while. Jerry I just noticed you were wearing a Guy Harvey tee shirt.
I fished with him in the Chesapeake Bay on a dentist friend's boat (The Healthy Grin). Fished for Cobia. A really nice man.

There's a house for sale on Mclin that we looked at on The Villages app. Funny you should go down that street today. It was great to get to see what the area looks like.
It looks like the timer on some of the sprinkler systems must be off a bit. Nobody wants to water their lawn in the heat of the day.
You would think that, but I think many people choose it that way so they will know that their sprinklers work.
I sure like what you and Linda do. Cant wait to get there.

Gassy fumes ???? Hilarious . We are the cleanest country in the world when it comes to emissions and "gassy fumes" LOL !!! 97% of all co2 emissions are naturally occurring . We are one of the least responsible for a portion of the human caused 3% . Love your channel . :)

Thank you! Actually, we don't mind the snowbirds. They pay their fees all your long come up but only enjoy it half a year. Some of our dearest friends are snowbirds.

Always love the ride videos. I enjoy the views. Lived in Gainesville in Haile Plantation in the early 90’s to late 90’s. Reminds me a lot of that planned development but a much smaller scale. Back then The Villages was smaller too!! ❤️
It seems that in this world today that a product could be developed to withstand the heat on these roofs. Of course I do know that you can use tiles but over time it seems it would be cost wise to use them as they will last forever.
The new metal roofs actually some of them look like shingles or tiles. Lots of different variations and have a lifetime span of about 40 or 50 years.
Not that most of us will be around that long to benefit the extra cost for them.

Thank you for making such an effort. I understand totally. I wish there was a way to make the video smoother. The camera is in a bracket, but it feels the vibrations of the motor and every bump in the road.

Thanks for the ride and the tour. We are coming for a lifestyle stay at the end of September and the rep said we'd be staying in a place not far from Brownwood Square. I can tell already that I'm going to get turned around and lost with the cart, but it will be an adventure!
You will have a ball Jeff. Getting lost is OK… there is so much to see. Use The Villages app, or just go to a Google map and set it to bicycle and you will not get lost.

Since we have traveled that path now in our Lifestyle visit, we can actually FEEL the golf cart as you drive along.☺Paul watched on the Television, and i watched on our computer, so we really put in our "2 cents" worth!😅 Sorry about your son's repair bill. Thank you also, Linda for the side view camera, as it helps us see more than the road. Loved seeing Gizmo. We are anticipating the "Alligator hunting" video and the next e-bike ride-along. Soon? When you do travel to the beach, please video and 'take us with you'.(at least for a bit of it?)

Always love your golf cart rides wish things hadn’t gotten so expensive , and health issues hadn’t gotten in the way.. we’d be down there now send some heat up North ok? We need it lol 13000? I would look around we paid 8000 for air and heat too if the line Carrier last year he’s robbing your son
We have bought new units also and thought the price was extremely high. He was under a time crunch, and had to pull the trigger.

When we bought ours last year, before we did our long time guy that came out and serviced ours yearly put it like this your system is running at 90% but it’s 21 years old you can replace it now and get both at this price or hope the systems make it another year with supply change issues we might not be able to get air conditioning when you need it a furnace yes but not air… I bet those scheistsrs are using that and charging more because it’s opposite down there… just like they are the roofs. Poor guy, remind him to get it checked and serviced every year it will help keep that new unit running

The neighborhoods look much better with the vehicles inside, but like you said, larger trucks don’t fit inside. I’m assuming you can’t have commercial vehicles, company lettering or logos in your driveway, as in a company vehicle that’s assigned to you for take home.
I've seen a few smaller vehicles here that had company logos on them in the driveway. With just one vehicle it's not too bad but you wouldn't want a fleet of 2 or more.
May be ok as long as no one complains.
Good morning, this golf car video was Great! I wish I was there again. I did come to The Villages and I remember several areas of Brownwood that you drove by. Between your videos and my visit, I hope I will be moving there in 1 or 2 years. Your videos are very informative and enjoyable. I hope you can 1 day visit Pine Ridge and/or Pine Hill and their local stores.
Is there a class/training/map or something besides signs telling a person which streets are for golf cars only or like you said on the video the streets are merging and golf cars are allowed to merge with the traffic until you see another golf car path?

$13,000 for air conditioning? Wow - How many Seer is the unit and for how many square feet? - I live in Maryland and I had my air conditioning replaced (heat pump inside & unit outside) for $8,000! It’s a 14 Seer for 1800 sq.ft. The brand is TempPro. That includes the installation. I had a Trane before but I chose a more reasonable priced brand with a good reputation.
Exactly. We are far away and he is a young adult, making his own decisions. He did not have the option of waiting and shopping around. Oh by the way, they decided his water heater needed replacing and only charged him $2250 to do that. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
That’s what iI thought too we paid the same as you for new top of the line Carrier furnace and air conditioning last year .

When you purchase a new home in TV, does the front yard come with it, or does the owner have to install the yard - grass and trees?
It comes with a basic landscape package including grass shrubs etc. We will talk about it on mailbag Monday tomorrow.

We are. We always wear seatbelts. You just can't see them in the picture. Golf carts don't have a shoulder strap.

Thanks Rick. Believe us, those trails get plenty of bicycle action. They tend to bike earlier in the morning, but you're liable to see them any time. on Facebook last week we did a bit that showed some bikers and that was shot midday.
That would be so cool to go on an alligator hunt.

Hey Jerry and Linda, thanks for taking us along. Early in the video I noticed something I haven’t seen before, that was a house with quite a large display of solar panels on the roof.
I am wondering do the villages contractors offer solar when you build a house? Is solar a viable alternative to help keep the cost of electricity down?
I don’t believe I’ve heard you comment on this subject before so whatever you offer would be welcome
Thomas, most of the homes you see with solar panels is actually used for heating their pools.
Great video guys! Anyword on what will be in the old movie theater? Can you take a golf car to a Walmart? Or Target?
Yes to Walmart, Target would be tougher. a busy busy corner.
We don't think any decisions have been made yet about the other two theatres.

There are signs posted. Also you cannot take the cart past a gatehouse unless it is street legal. People that live here know they cannot drive on Buena Vista, Morse blvd, county road 44, Powell road, etc.

You know, it does take a lot of work. The actual shooting of the video takes a while, but the real time consuming part is the editing, uploading, etc. We really enjoy what we do, or we wouldn't do it. The best part is meeting great people from all over the country. And the attractions we've visited here in Florida are amazing.
Good morning Jerry, Linda, and Gizmo! Great ride! Jerry, I'm just wondering how do you know your "directions" like, "we're going west on..."? Without a mountain or mountain range or ocean how do you keep track? We have a mountain range and as long it is on my left I'm heading north. I was always lost in Virginia Beach unless I was at the ocean front. Thanks for the ride along and please give Gizmo a pet for me!
Julie, That is a good question. We know that the 2 main North and South roads are Buena Vista and Morse boulevard. We also know that anytime we are driving towards Spanish Springs we are headed North and anytime we are headed toward Brownwood or Southern oaks we are headed South. That makes it very easy to figure out which way we are going.
