Mr. Regular not being able to get a word in about the gorgeous Citoroen over dudebros revving their brap crackle builds is such a poignant impression of car culture
Literally happened to me the other day I was talking to my cousin about an old Eclipse at a car meet while some dumbasses kept revving their Golfs. PA dubbers aren't only in PA, they're 70% of Bosnian car culture.

The Kei Firetruck... ideal for rescuing very small cats from tiny trees
You mean like Kei Cats?
That ride in the fire truck must have felt like a childhood dream realised.
I bought my son one with pedals about the same size.
A gas powered power wheels that can hit 60 is nothing to sneeze at
Reminded me of the old 80’s arcade game for younger kids where the cabinet was you sitting in a mini fire truck and steering. If you had two players, they could control the rear. ❤
Hey, that GR Corolla was a Circuit Edition “1 of 1500” which has a bulged/vented hood (which are real), carbon fiber roof, all the options from the Core model, and alcantara interior accents
Smooth Sailing Mobile.
Corolla😂
@@freeskier175nothing cooler than a shit box that's faster than whatever else is on the road.
@@gobgobcachoo Corolla... Lame...If it don't run 9s don't bother.
That kei firetruck is about half a step above a carnival ride.
I love it.
I loved seeing the 2 guys riding in the back of that firetruck, they seemed so happy :D
"What a joy!" - bro, without a shred of irony
11:58 - it's nice to see a porsche owner that can take a joke lightheartedly
I feel like 90s Porsche owners are a bit more self aware cause those models are often seen as the black sheep or "oh that one". They're not so LOOK AT ME like guys with never and older Porsches.
Bro was having a good day
If Mr. Regular came over to roast me, I'd be honored.
@@AdamG1983 no fr, like roast my camry-dent daddy, lmaoo
That guy had a great laugh too.
This dude Tony just oozes enthusiasm.
Not trying to impress anyone except those of us who admire the weird stuff.
Thsnks for showing us around
The GR Corolla you saw was a Circuit Edition. It has the bulged vented hood from the factory. They are functional.
The irony of that fire truck is that it came from “分水,” which in Japanese means “rationing water.”
I love the fire truck guy, I love someone just so cheerful and enthusiastic about their neat little vehicle.
Man I am impressed with how smooth that running shot with the fire truck was, like you had to be jogging to keep up with that yet it was smooth
I was impressed with how fast he was going but the smoothness was him using motion tracking techonology
I kept waiting for him to take a header from the foot height ropes :D glad he didn't though!
His hand has chicken muscles
Citroëns in general they hit so much different bro. Even their worst shitbox has some hidden charisma and quirkiness and I really hope you will be able to drive an SM like that one day
I really wanna drive an old DS some day, we call them Sharks here.
I'm surprised he didn't make any SM related puns.
Ok. What I'd like to know is how a Citroen handles more like: a Honda, early 1990's Chevy SUV, or a Dodge Intrepid smooth sailing-mobile.
@@oldsmobilethompson1658 French cars are their own thing - completely incomparable to any other brand or region. If anything it's closer to German luxury or post-war American luxury, but you'd have to drive one to understand
Well put
"It's gonna be worth something some never day!" The (ostensibly) owner's response is outstanding and how more of car culture should be. 😆
The 914 was both 6 and 4. The 6 wasnt very popular in the states so it was discontinued after a couple years. The 6 in the USA had fender flares, the 4 didnt. Im so with you on the 914 being your favorite Porsche, same here, wish you could get one to review. They're the best driving experience, even as slow as they are.
A common misconception is that all 914/6s came with fender flares, but in reality, only a limited few came factory-equipped with the optional competition package.
4 was Volkswagen 6 was Porsche in europe
Man i love New Hope. Such a fun little town!
Tony is the absolute all time champion of RCR
Thank
I'm in a Porta Pottie on the North end of campus.
If that 914-6 is well sorted, that’s a $120k car these days. Also, love that band-aid color! Adds to the anti-Porsche charm you’re feeling 😊
The GR Corolla is a circuit or Morizo edition. They come with real hood vents from the factory.
This gave me "which Corvette is best Corvette" vibes haha
Exactly lol 😂
Apparently Shelby is best Corvette lol
A French brown/brown manual transmission car. It's RCR catnip laced with cocaine
Damn, I knew Mr. Regular loved Mr2s but I never realised quite how strongly he felt about the third gen ones.
Also, loving the car meet videos!
Third Gen is most regular mid engine roadster ever invented. A Corolla without the practicality, but the top comes down, and nobody knows it's rear heavy rwd but you. At Wegmans you put your groceries in the frunk and soccer moms turn around and give you that uncertain glare for 30 seconds while they try to figure out how to judge you
@@taint_misbehavinso true lmao. I showed the car to my boss the other day and they asked to “pop the hood” so I did, and they were dumbfounded to find a tire in there lol
I keep seeing people post positive media on them lately, (I don't want to be right, because I want one & can't justify a second car rn) but I could see them being the next car-enthusiast-tm-roadster-starling in the scene once all the miatas go extinct (pretty much inevitable) like cmon it even has a slightly ugly yet endearing little frog smile.
@@jadesded Cant justify a second car? I just bought a 6th what am i doing to my life 😂😢
I bought my spyder for a bunch of reasons. One was certainly not appreciated value. Absolutely no regrets. Surprised to see RCR luv though. Lol
That Kei mini pumper is ridiculously cool!
When an owner matches his vehicle perfectly.......
The siren on the fire truck sounds more like an underground cable locator.
18:39 bro drives a Kia Amanti. He's got no fucks left to give.
the 914-6 is legit man, love that car, also my fav. Porshe
I haven't been to a cars and coffee in a while in my city due to the fact it usually happens on a Saturday and i usually work thay day. So in a way this video feels almost nostalgic in a way
1:30 That might’ve been the owner going to confront Mr. Regular and tell him how cool his Corvette is 😂
From what I've seen, C8 owners have no sense of humor.
I challenge their deadpan reserves immediately@@AdamG1983
@@AdamG1983 Well they are very serious people, that dropped very serious money on a very serious car, for very serious hard park revving.
It's always a treat when Tony shows up here.
That’s the most adorable fire truck ever
That firetruck is the ultimate toy car, how fun
Two birds having fun!
great purchase Jay!
Oh it's that jay
You guys are having a ball with that little fire truck... LoL 😆!!
Took my 71 Super Beetle to a car show once, a few years ago. I drew a crowd. Meanwhile a 57 Bel Air sat nearby with nobody looking at it. So I can kinda understand the thing with that stingray. Times change.
good - i have seen enough tri-5 Chevys to last several lifetimes.
I would trust that little firetruck through the deepest pits of hell and move heaven and earth to keep it in the department's fleet. Sure, our 3 axle gator is probably SIGNIFICANTLY better at fighting fire, but that little thing gives me the impression it wouldn't give up until long after I do. Saint Florian would be proud to operate that little fire killer.
So glad Jay/Tony is just in love with that damn thing. His Twitter has just been a joy.
That Corvette fellow did not enjoy the commentary it seems
i saw that and his body language and facial expression looked hostile, curious what happened between cuts.
That was not the owner, the owner was inside the Corvette revving.
Holy cow, that's a good cars and coffee. I'm angry I missed it (local)!
One of my favourite episodes! roasting cars and people, shooting the shit with interesting nerds who actually nerd out on cars rather than just buying expensive stuff to show off. BEST car channel on youtube.
Must be frustrating for people with really expensive cars that the tiny fire engine takes everyones attention
...ferrari yeah great brad...Dude! Look at this little Japanese firetruck!
If you're buying a car for validation, you're buying a car for the wrong reasons.
@@solitaryclusterofneurons598If your parents didn't love you enough does it make it ok to buy a car for validation?
Because it's a fire truck. Everyone is 5 years old again when looking at it.
@@darksu6947 it's ok to buy any car you like for any reason whatsoever. Just know that you'll never truly feel the joys of driving a car if you're choosing what will give you the most attention rather than what appeals to you.
That Citroen is a piece of ART.
Stimmt.
Was super cool getting to meet you man! Im the guy with the black saab viggen convertible.
I love these quirky Cars in your Cara and coffee visits!
Wake up babe- new rcr dropped!
I love that c2 Corvette! I'd be gawking at it and take so many pictures of every angle. I usually like them the best in black but this absolutely pristine silver looks so gorgeous! Although that black over red convertible is also super nice. Wish one day I could own a C2
I like these Cars and Coffee videos. Makes me wish I lived in an area that had them.
The Porsche guy has one of those laughs that make you laugh too.
That Hijet is about 38 horsepower on a good day if the carb is clean and properly tuned. Realistically probably 35 hp or less on average. It does go to show how far horsepower can go if the car is light, though. It will win no races, but you can actually get around with it.
The GR Corolla Circuit and Morizo Editions have the hood vents, Core does not. Whether or not they're functional, I cannot say. Also, no factory big-block engines in the split-window Vettes, best engine you could get was the 360hp fuel-injected 327. One of those with a 4spd. is still worth BIG money.
Hood vents on the GR Corolla are part of the circuit edition, so not a modification, even if they do really look like it
wow, i didn't think there were any citroen SMs left on the east coast at all. that's the dream. someone in my south philly neighborhood got a kei truck, and within the city i'm sure it's great, but now it's trapped here forever. for the same prices i've been looking at toyota townace/liteace trucks which are the same design but about 15% larger, with a 1.5 liter engine that can take them to 80+ mph.
These are some of my favorite videos; maybe my favorite RUclips channel too 🔥
Strayan here appreciating the subtle "G'day mate"
The hood vents are a trim addition on the GRC.
I wonder if that fire truck is the one I saw in western PA a few months ago, driving with a Kei ice cream van.
wwhatever.
This is Great! I can get a workout in and go to cars at the same time
Thise hood vents on the GR Corolla can come as an option and I believe they are functional.
Nice variety of rides..... Something for everyone.....
New Hope is my favorite place in PA. And cars and coffee is a bonus
Pumpin' 4 The Man
That is where I first heard about New Hope.
914-6 actually is its own animal.. the 6 got an actual Porsche designed suspension, vs the vw sourced stuff for the 'regular' 914..
You're damn right people are paying attention to the old Broncos
Tony's truck is such a riot. Also, the last minute of this video is an allegory for the current state of America.
I've never driven an SM, but, have had the pleasure of sitting in the drivers seat of one. It's the absolute pinnacle of Citroen weirdness, slap bang in the middle of their ownership of Maserati. This means you have a glorious 90 degree V6 up front, feeding power through a transaxle to the front wheels. Utterly bonkers engine with the cam chain in the middle of the engine, not at either end. See also the Maserati Merak, which was Maseratis version......Maserati did have a go at producing their own front wheel drive car, in the form of the Quattroporte 2, which was a very very short lived and unusual Citroen SM based QP. Once Detomaso gained control, the Citroen weirdness and innovation was expunged. The AM330 QP 3 came in, followed by the BiTurbos. Both car companies are firm favourites of mine. Citroens short lived ownership of Maserati produced some odd yet interesting models. Citroen did not dabble with more than four cylinders, until the XM of 1989. Some would say this was, certainly in the looks department, a spirtual successor to the SM. You never received the XM over in the states.......officially.
When Mr. Regular was wiping his hands off on the leaves next to a mk7 gti. It reminded me of the mk6 gtis that would constantly leak from the camshaft cradle due to the pcv valves constantly failing. Then instead of leaking oil. The mk7 water pumps would leak. Had to trade 1 leak for another I suppose.
0:36 I remember that same exact car and tiger from a really old RCR goes to a show vid, cool how it came back again.
That firetruck is awesome.
amazing restraint with a little chirp at the guy who was blocking the intersection. lol
At work (Cat skiing op) we had the Hilux based version of this truck (same layout) as a work truk for a few weeks - ran into stupid registration issues (Niigata) sent it back to auction. It wasn't quick, but it was a great utility truck.
Love the car meet videos😁
Was flashing back to the opening credits of Naked Gun during the fire truck ride.
When he was rippin on the Corvette that one dude looked pissed. 1:23
10:15 I remember as a little kid, the split window '63 'Vette was THE car to have at shows, it was the brass ring, it was the penultimate Corvette. And now it's just...there.
"Penultimate" actually means "second to last", implying that there is an even more desirable Corvette out there somewhere.
@@hlavco obviously be that prototype 1983 Corvette
That fire truck looks like it should have a quarter slot, and be bolted to the ground outside of a 99 cent and up store.
At 0:33, that Alpina E34 though, holy crap.
I really want a kei truck for around town. I live in NY State though and getting them registered is next to impossible. They qualify as classic cars at this point, but everyone who says they register them like that gets a notice to return their plates months later.
Why aren't you allowed to rego them? What's the reason?
@__-vb3ht There's an old code from the 70s (I believe) that says Kei vehicles aren't legal to be registered in NY. I think for "safety" reasons. Not sure of the specifics beyond that.
@@5ch3nk NY DMV overlord person who's name isn't worth googling has decreed that based on some baseless claims a non government organization put out that they will refuse to title Kei trucks. The law in question they're using to justify it *supposedly* doesn't apply to commercial vehicles though so that's a potential workaround.

Yo. Mr.Regular!
In Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, we have 2, white, split window corvettes that are immaculate.
I somehow found a working Dodge Neon ACR for like 5k in Georgia on FB marketplace, god I really want to buy it lol
What are you waiting for? Those cars are sweet!
What's even sadder than a '63 Corvette Split Window Coupe sitting alone with no one around oohing and awing is that they sold kits to get rid of the split window and make the rear window one whole piece, so there's probably a fair amount of Corvette Split Window Coupes that got rid of something that made them stand out from other model year C2 Corvettes.
A brewery near me converted a hijet firetruck into a mobile keg truck. Its rad as hell.

Cooling hood vents can be functional, by removing the underside cover. It is there to keep rain water out, during normal use.
