I don't know if you've tried this in newer videos, but a much more effective method for curling doll hair would be using straws like you did, *pouring* the boiling water onto the hair, then dunking the hair into ice water directly after. Beautiful job regardless!

Same here! I’m trying to figure out who I like better since I haven’t opened my Cleo yet but I definitely don’t like the tinsel in her hair so that’s already a point deducted from her lol
She looks so so beautiful even though here curls didn't stay. I think this is my favorite restyle because all the colors blend so wonderful together, and she looks like a pretty mermaid with all the gems! I think the g3 Clawdeen's hair can be curled with heat tools since it's polypropolene, but definitely double check just in case. Can't wait to see the next restyle!!

I'm not a really big fan of G3 but besides Clawdeen always have been my fav, I also always liked Lagoona a lot, and their making a lot of pretty dolls of her, her octopus shoes from Skulltimates Secrets are so damn pretty, also her earings and stuff

I'm so in love with the hair and the little gems almost look like pearls! Only thing I'm not a fan of are the earrings and the purse. The glam feels a bit out of place on her, but otherwise she's so stunning T.T

The only thing i really dislike about the new lagoona. Why did her go from blue to pink? Does getting a tan in MH turn blue skin to pink? Other than that lol i love the new design. Adds beachy, vsco, and monster into a nice blend. Also I have seen reviews about a chunk of plastic missing from the fanny pack but its supposed to be a shark bite I think 😂
Overall its a nice doll and still fits Lagoona
She looks adorable, great job. Do you think, in the future if you decide to change the styling on the dolls, that the little coloured "diamonds" etc. would come off easily as I think they were glued on. Its just that sometimes we go for a certain style, and then in a couple of years, think, why did I do all that, think I'll change it. I certainly have anyway.

I love it! Also another tip that I learned from someone is that when they take the straws out of the hair they also put a hair net or net around them to keep them bouncy, I don’t know if it works for saran but I know it works for nylon.
Dealing with saran for me personally is really tricky lolol

Curls always fall out of monsterhigh dolls because of their hair type (Saran) it doesn’t hold curls or waves you need a lot of hair spry or gel so they stay

I've always been a massive Lagoona fan, and i don't think this restyle fits her. She's always been super sporty and as a sea monster any accessories in her hair have all still been sea creature themed. So all the sparkly jewels just doesn't work for me. This would have been a great restyle to use charms of sea creatures with. I also hope you try again with the curls as Lagoona usually has curly hair. I also cant stand when hair sits in front of the eyes so where the tendrils sit I don't like either. I'm alot pickier when it comes to lagoona tho so im biased
That’s good to know! Although this is a new generation and I don’t believe her old aesthetic was what they were going for this time around. Also, I have never had a Lagoona doll so I styled her in a way that I interpreted her. Someone told me that the purse and earrings don’t work for her either and I agree with that. Being that I don’t know the history of any of these characters, I feel no need to style them in a way that suits their old characteristics.
@@rodneyrainbow The thing is the sporty aesthetic IS still her thing even in this new gen. So its actually about suiting her current characteristics. In terms of sea life motif her earring before were a fishbone and a pearl, her necklace is seashells, and she has a skeletal seahorse on her hoodie. Her aesthetic from g1 IS one of the things carried over into G3. A hoodie and bicycle shorts is a sporty look.
