Seashore Life: Tide Pools at Leo Carillio State Park 720p HD V08156

- Enjoy a short trip to the California coast's Leo Carillo State Park, without getting your feet wet! Twice a day the tide moves out, exposing the rocks, plants and sea life that inhabit this shallow rocky beach. Among the wildlife you can see are Starfish, Sea Anemones, crabs, clams/muscles and seaweed in various colors. The fish are tiny and scarce, but if you're lucky you might run across a small Octopus or Sea Slug in the shallow, isolated pools.
The above-water footage was shot with a Canon HF100 HD camcorder, and a DXG 5B1V HD water-proof camera was used for the underwater views.

It's amazing how many Californians, who live not too far from these natural wonders, have never seen them either :-) Glad I could bring them to you here!
Some of these nature vid soundtracks take a lot of effort to get rich, full stereo sound without all the man-made noises you hear just about every second of the day. Thanks for taking notice! :-)
Nature in the ocean is even more impressive than nature on land.
Excellent work as always,Chris!
Thanks so much for the view and kind words :-) Glad you're enjoying the show!

Thanks so much Carol! :-)
Thanks for the nice comment :-) Those starfish look so plumb and fluffy, but they're actually hard as a rock. It's amazing how stiff they are - like rocks that can move! :-O
So glad you enjoyed! Do feel free to stop by any time :-)
I put a lot of effort into the soundtrack of these ocean vids - glad you were able to experience the full sound quality! Thanks for checking it out :-)
It takes me about an hour to get to beach from here, but watching the video is much easier (although not quite the same) :-) Thanks for stopping by!
Excellent footage!! Both over and under. These are some sights that we will never otherwise see unless we can be there, and sights that are becoming harder and harder to find.
Glad you enjoyed - thanks for visiting! =)
Thanks so much for visiting and the nice comment! :-)
I've found the ocean sounds work really great for relaxing too - especially with headphones. :-) Glad you enjoyed!

Indeed they are - thanks for stopping by =)
Thanks so much for checking it out! Cheers! =)
How beautiful, Thanks for making this video, being landlocked in Texas I miss the coast. I only get down to the gulf two week a year.
awesome..can not wait to see your other beautiful works of nature and the beauty around us..my thanks..
So true - thanks for the visit and nice comment! :-)
The HD resolution really helps bring things to life on video! Thanks for checking it out :-)
Great video, I used to scuba dive here the two years I lived in California. This was one of the calmest beaches to dive from. There was a nice kelp forest just off shore to dive in just out from the cliffs and life guard hut. Keep up the great work, awesome videos as always.
I love your work. Perfect sound and vision to easy the mind. 8O)
Those anemones were probably the most colorful things there, but it was hard to tell unless the lighting was just right. Thanks for checking it out! :-)
I enjoyed filming it as well - thanks so much for checking it out! =)
Thanks for the great comment! A lot of engineering went into the soundtrack for this one :-)
Tutti i video di questo canale sono belli, ma questo è il mio preferito in assoluto! Grazie jcmegabyte :-)
My pleasure - thanks for watching! :-)
So glad you liked it - thanks for the view and nice comment! :-)
Fantastic video! Looks like you ventured into every nook and cranny of those tide pools to bring us an amazing view into them :-)
Like others and yourself I am always relaxed when I hear the ocean...unfortunately I live in the mid west and the Mississippi River just doesn't have that sound ...much respect!!
Excellent video!-Thank you very much!!!
Thanks so much for watcing this one! :-)
wow this is very beautiful and peaceful, thank you
It's a very popular place - thanks for visiting!
That's good to know - I was planning to take the underwater camera out into deeper water next time around. It looked like there was a lot of kelp out there - I'll have to suit-up and give it a try. Thanks for the view and info! :-)
What a beautiful and relaxing video to watch. Thank you. I enjoyed this very much. Hugs..Jan (and Susan) ♥
I can remember visiting a site along the Mississippi in Minesota where there were some rapids and mini-falls, which were nice to listen to as well, although not quite the same a ocean surf. Farther downstream I'd guess the river is just too big for falls though. Thanks for watching and listening! :-)
One of these days some brilliant engineer is going to find a way to record and playback the smells, tastes and feeling of a place, too... Combine that with 3-D video and surround sound, and I could REALLY deliver a nice little vacation for everyone to experience here on RUclips! XD Thanks so much for the visit and nice comment! :-)
Thanks so much! =D Cheers!
Lovely video ! Looks great underwater.
Greetings !
It's amazing how relaxing the ocean sounds can be! Thanks for watching and the nice comment :-)
Now that's what I call a low tide!!! Love this! Excellent footage here :)
Nice sound mix too!
Thanks for posting this, JC.
Thumbs up :)
64m >:-)
I wondered what those were - thanks for the great info =) Cheers!
Okay - I'm not sure if ANY of you know this yet, but at 1:08, that's Sancastle Worms. They build sandcastle-like tubular homes, like honeycombs. Their saliva makes a glue-like stuff that is being used for reconstruction surgeries now. But those things are freaking horrific to accidentally step on. Horrible. Horrible horrible.
Glad you liked - thanks for visiting! :-)
They're definitely interesting critters... Thanks for stopping by :-)
thanks for the wonderful and real vision, both for colours of , which sounds ..
spectacular!
bye

Enjoyed this video so much, great upload!!
Thanks again!! =)
The above-water shots are from a Canon HF100. They go for $400-$500 online. I'm really quite impressed with the image quality and camera in general. This YT ver really doesn't do it justice - the image is SOOO much better in original 1080p AVCHD .MTS clip from the camera. One issue with many HD camcorders is that the AVCHD format is not so compatible with every application and the file itself is VERY CPU intensive to decode/playback, so you'll need a beefy PC to play/edit the footage. :-)
Thanks for checking it out! Hopefully more marine life vids to come :-)
bellas imágenes.
amo la naturaleza.
el mar es grandioso,
lleno de vida!
Realy good shots. It was great to see this sea creatures. Good job!
Greetings Kata
Thanks!
