probably we will have to wait another 20 years for dEUS to be recognized as one the most important European rock bands ever.
W.C.S. , In a bar.., & The Ideal Crash made history!
We're halfway there
I remember listening to this song in the summer of 1998, while traveling across Portugal in a VW 60's van... dEus was my favourite band that summer, i had them on k7!
toen waren ze nog in hun ULTRA GENIALE periode!
We all do!
Greatest indie band on earth!
The first time i heard this i was wasted in the back of a friends car.. it was like a slap in the face, amazing song.
Always love this song since 15 years !!!!

Waow ! HUGE !
Great!
Epic.
@dEUSbe Oh, and apparently Damon Albarn has admitted to "borrowing" the riff from "Fell Off" in an interview. If anyone could point us to that particular interview, that would be awesome.
dEUSbe Holy shit. And you guys actually replied on your own. Class.
OH my god it's "Song 2" isn't it?? Majestic
I think i read somewhere it was in Spin Magazine
One of my favorite ♥️
I remember hearing this song back in college and thinking this was another Beck sound-alike band. To my knowledge, this is the only song in their catalogue that sounds like this.
I of course knew this from the nineties. But I rediscovered it lately. What a song!
It's in my High Rotation list again, together with Allez Allez, Koen De Bruyne, Mitsoobishy Jacson, ...
@cityoficecream It kinda does, but Blur's Song 2 was released after dEUS' Fell Off The Floor, Man ;)
Beste ooit!

Apparently blur used the riff for song 2
What about my philosophy, my philosophy
You got to be your, you got to be your own dog, you know?
You know what I'm talking about?
You're supposed to say yeah like a James Brown thing. Yeah
You gotta go sniffin' in your own turf
Be your own dog, don't let nobody put a leash on you
Rubbadub a tub fish (Ping pong)
Sneakin' in the dead zone (Boneyard)
Sippin' on a catlap (Sing song)
Trimming off my nostril hairs (Headcase)
An angel in a mellowcake (Car crash)
Rubbin' like a pussycat (Gridlock)
A stone within my eyeball (Too too)
Dancin' with my socks on (Oh man)
Singin' like a tomtit (Stop cab)
-----??----------------(Tip top)
Entering a smoky barroom (Hey you)
Smuggling a wombat (Rubbaday)
Chewing on my necktie (Tweedo)
Tumbling in the margerine (Heroine)
Hidden in the ribbongrass (Too too)
Actin' like a baby (Headcase)
I don't need no thoughts in me, don't you wanna rescue me?
There's a little light below, go there when I want to go
Wanted by the bumbledom (Ping pong)
Trying to pry the red shoes off (Headcase)
Licking on my ice cream cone (Heroine)
Surfing in the kitchen sink (Rubbaday)
Sippin' on a diet coke (Hey dude)
Tanglin' with the intercrop (Tip top)
Chaperone my scapegoat (Top fish)
Change a tenner for two fivers (Too too)
Fell off the floor, fell off the floor (Man)
Fell off the floor, fell off the floor (Man)
Fell off the floor, fell off the floor (Man)
Rita Hay(worth), Rita Hay(worth), Rita Hay(worth)
Rita Hay
Don't try this at home
(Going out to steel a ruby)
(Going out to steel a ruby)
(Going out to steel a ruby)
Looking like a rayon, love to do it indoor
They all got a say on, falling off the damned floor
Succulent but sucked in, always I'll be in for
One thing to be tucked in, falling off the same floor
... worth

@dEUSbe I wasn't aware of that. But Blur borrowed the woohoo bit from the Icelandic band Botnleðja that toured with them for awhile. You can listen to 'Þið eruð frábær' to hear the original.
Taking away the 66th comment, because Deus is still inside of me.
@dEUSbe well,im a girl actually..;) but i get your point xD
the intro really reminds me of blur's "song 2"..anyway,good song.
ra koon Albarn admitted afterwards that the riff from song 2 was inspired by this song
