Chances are you won't read this but just in case some tips :-) 1) Use the PWNhammer to destroy demon alters to get new ores there are 3 new ores but the more you destroy the less rare the ores are 2) Try to defeat all the mechanical bosses (The Twins, The Destroyer and Skeletron Prime) to then defeat Plantera to then get the key to the Golem temple and to defeat the Golem 3) The best armour to get (before defeating any bosses) is probably adiminate- sorry for the spelling- try to get the sword as well 4) Once you have these armours try to defeat new bosses to get souls and hallowed bars to then make better armour and tools 5) To mine the new ore you'll need a Molten Pickaxe to mine Colbalt then a Colbalt Pickaxe to mine Mythril pickaxe to mine Adimite. The best thing to use is a Mythril drill Hope this helped :-)
Stampy, the following is some VERY important info regarding hardmode CRAFT A MOLTEN PICKAXE. You need it to mine Cobalt, the first tier of hardmode ore Buy a Minishark.you need to upgrade it into a Megashark once you beat the destroyer. Mine VERY deep down. The new ores only spawn at the lowest levels KEEP YOUR NIGHTS EDGE. If you get a solar eclipse and an enemy drops a Broken Hero Sword you can use the two to make the True Nights Edge, the second best sword in the game. Then, craft Excalibur from Hallowed Bars (dropped by the mechanical bosses) and upgrade it to True Excalibur with another Broken Hero Sword. Then, craft the two with a THIRD Broken Hero Sword, and you'll get the ultimate weapon, the Terra Blade.

Marilia Silva Ik it's a 1 month old comment but there is nothing else to do after 5 hours in pre-hardmode expect mining and probably sealing the crimson/corruption. So the only fun thing to do is either build or beat the wall of flesh. Terraria is a combat focused game, guess which is more fun :^)

Then, craft Excalibur from Hallowed Bars (dropped by the mechanical bosses) and upgrade it to True Excalibur with another Broken Hero Sword. Then, craft the two with a THIRD Broken Hero Sword, and you'll get the ultimate weapon, the Terra Blade.

Marilia Silva Ik it's a 1 month old comment but there is nothing else to do after 5 hours in pre-hardmode expect mining and probably sealing the crimson/corruption. So the only fun thing to do is either build or beat the wall of flesh. Terraria is a combat focused game, guess which is more fun :^)
