Tert Se for me, as an ENTJ, is a double-edged sword. I can be extremely impatient when there's obstacles in front of me like for example when I need to be somewhere, it really irritates me. But at the same time, it DOES help me force my way through whatever that obstacle is in my way. Se, to me is what makes things happen.

for a long time I was trying to figure what my issue had been these months, and I realised it's listening too much to this tertiary function. I have to embrace this effectiveness and perspective functions. Damn Just what I needed.

This is interesting, thank you! I do recognize the pull of Si, as an INFP. Love my routine and comfort! :)
But I wonder, does anyone know how this would manifest in an INFJ?
What does the push & pull between Fe & tertiary Ti look like?

So much is said about balancing the functions, to get out of the loops. But those functions and their relationships between themselves is what we are! I just don’t see people changing, at least those I know, as well as myself. I’m an INTP and a major homebody, retired now so I don’t have to deal with people so I don’t. I would love to get out and enjoy activities but need an Se type to lend me their energy! I think that’s the clue-we don’t have the energy to use functions we’re weak in, but must rely on others for that. But doesn’t it make sense that the world might be so constructed?

The 7th function, Se for INxPs is definitely key to some sort of unlocking of potential. It's done wonders for me... though very difficult. I have no idea what's going on in the moment lol, but breakdancing and "grounding" have been great.

Geek Psychology Agreed, the best way to learn how to utilize Polr Se is 1.) See the positives for it 2.) Force your self into activities that forces you to engage in Se type of behavior. Only problem is it’s mentally exhausting so you’ll need something you truly do find enjoyable and a very good reasoning to do so that both Ti and Fi agrees with.

Much love Sherman! You are absolutely amazing :) And so is the background, the beauty of nature makes it even richer for me. Hope to take part of asian culture a lot in "the future", I feel some "home"-like thingy for it, beyond my intellectual comprehension of understanding.
And this is so true, for Ti in INFJs as well. I can "see" this merging and meshing with my own experience(s) and.. hmmm Ni is not "done" yet for Ti-articulation!

Yeah it's a nice place. I've tried filming there a few times but the wind always interrupts :P
Thanks for the input on Ti!

The end of your fence in your thumbnail picture and video spells T (for tertiary) and F (for function). Okay, random thoughts from an infp. I am not sure if you meant to do that. That is all. lol.

Thank you ! I knew more about the enneagram, reading ‘studying it’ for many years but I’m glad I can all of this approach as well through your video.
I’m INFJ or INFP or ENFJ .. the J and P and the E and I being 49-51 depending on days. I think the ENFJ correspond more to who I am today. INFP was all in my 20s. Can we change over time ?
Enneagram there is integration level and links to other types as you move but you always keep the core the same
Thank you for your videos and btw, you are incredibly handsome

Your type, meaning the cognitive functions that you use, is fixed. However, your awareness of the functions and how you use them will change and develop over time. You can over time sort of transcend your type and engage functions that you don't naturally use, but it doesn't change your default configuration. If you're not sure of your type, stop taking tests and just learn about the functions. Introspect and observe your experience to figure out which function is running the show and how they interact for you.

    • @GeekPsychology
      @GeekPsychology  5 лет назад +1

Yup! Exactly what Danny said. Awareness changes. Balance changes. But the type itself does not. Dig into the cognitive functions and lots of introspection or asking other people can also be helpful sometimes...
It takes longer for some people, but the information is all there.

@@DannyHansen1 Thank you. I say the same to people who start looking into enneagram. Tests are often, very often, no good. I'll look into this :)
