Well considering Wi-Fi 7 won't even be officially fully supported until December of 2024 I would hope by the time 2025 or 2026 rolls around that it would have some better performance
Thank you very much for the video.. I didn't expect the results of the longer distances.. I think the speed is governed by many factors.. Am looking forward to receiving mine next week and have my own experience with it❤
Appreciate the Feedback. Yeah Speed can be different for different scenario and house construction. Since we have been using the same Test Setup we can compare against the other WiFi Routers.
Great review. My main interest for this router is the wired 10gb and 2.5gb ports. My ISP serves me 5gb fiber and I have a 10gb switch and a 10gb NAS so I have totally moved away from a 1gb based network. Nothing less than a 2.5 wired home network will do for me now. The only thing I have wireless is a smart TV on my upper level and that is running off a TP-Link 6E Mesh until plugged in upstairs.
Thanks for the video. The vertical diagram of that house is not very indicative of the environment you are testing in... what walls or obstacles were between the router and the clients? What kind of material is the ceiling of the basement, concrete? Does it have rebar? wire mesh? In the basement, did you have direct line of sight between the router and the client device? Was the furniture? Was the router of top of a desk (4ft height?) was it on top of a shelf? at least 8ft high? Walls and obstacles cause attenuation... so do metal shelves, wire mesh, couches, refrigerators... like, Floor Plans would better show the environment you are testing in.... (Been deploying Aruba Enterprise stuffs, and floor plans, whether Enterprise or small business or home use, floor plans regardless of vendor/brand/standards, Floor plans are essential nowadays...)
Absolutely all that stuff matters, that's why we mention in our review that results can be different for each house. But since we test wifi products in the same test space we can compare the products. Appreciate the Feedback.
Nice review, but I wish you had also covered the 2.4 Ghz band. I have a lot of smart devices in my home and sadly most still only work on the 2.4 Ghz band. So it would be nice to know how good the coverage was at a distance.
2.4G has been standard for a while / the range / the speed, and most of the legacy hardware are stuck with low wifi speeds on 2.4G. Yeah it is better with New WiFi 7 and WiFi 6, 6e.
@@DealUnboxing I know Wifi 7 & 6 are better, but most of my smart devices only support 2.4 Ghz, so I still need to know how well a router will perform in that band. Especially with range and how many simultaneous connections it can support.
I actually ended up getting this router about a month and a half ago and recently installed it about 2 weeks ago and can't say that I've benefited from the router unfortunately. I also bought a new Cable Modem, the Netgear (2050V) which is a very powerful Cable Model and still aren't seeing the results as should. I've got an Internet plan now of 1GB with Spectrum with Cat8 Cables running through both. Not even sure what's the next move but I'd like to keep this router despite the crazy cost for the Wifi7 Capabilities.
Yeah that is a good idea. I might do that. So far TPLINK WiFi 6E AXE11000 Mesh System was the best in term of range and speed, and TPLink WiFi 6E Router AXE11000 (Single Unit) for Single Router. But There are many great WiFi 6 Single Routers in the past produced some excellent results. Check out the reviews in the WiFi Router Playlist.
It is a Tri-Band = 2.4G, 5G, and 6G enable. But we tested only 5G and 6G, because 2.4G is already hitting its limit for the last few years, and would only recommend for legacy devices.
I still havent tested 6GHz but 5GHz has been plenty enough for me. When using 2.5G ethernet can get around 1.7gbps over WiFi on my S23 Ultra and about 400ft away in the bedroom can get around 1.3gbps with just regular WiFI 6 when using a ASUS AX11000
thanks for review , I wonder if you have smart TV and you could test wifi speed with this router on your TV I have LG OLED 2023 , LG ethernet port limited to 10/100, my connection is 1Gb/s not happy with ethernet port not going further than 87 mb/s and on wifi5G (wifi AX both my router and TV )max I get is 170 mb/s I would appreciate if you have any smart TV you do test for me with this router next to TV also in case of power outage does router automatically back to internet in case we are not at home for a while for security cameras connected to it , some router in market wont and we need to reconnect them back again which are pointless for above reason Thank you :)
@@DealUnboxing would you please share the speed you get on your TV , what band 5 or 6 GHZ ,you use on your TV and also have you test it on this router ?
Firstly this thing is ugly IMO, secondly the WiFi 7 standard hasn’t been finalised yet as far as I know, and thirdly TP Link charge you a monthly subscription to have those parental controls. It's just the first but I wouldn't buy it personally.
So disappointing and the moral of the story is stick with Ethernet, got it! I always thought my routers were messed up but seeing even the hottest new routers on the market still have poor latency issues secures my decision to hardwire my house at this point and use WiFi for only true wireless devices like cellphones and smart devices
@@DealUnboxing; Can't speak for TP-Link specifically. But even with a two node 6E mesh system by Asus (ET8). I found the range of the 6 GHz band to just be way too short to be of much use unless right under a node. Therefore sent it back for their "tried and true" WiFi 6 based XT8 mesh system. And decided to wait to see if WiFi 7 would be a substantial improvement on the 6 Ghz band. So far, not impressed unfortunately. ....

Awesome Review - I was waiting for WiFi 7 products. But after your review, i guess i will keep my WiFi 6e Router for now.
Glad I could help
Actually wifi 7 devices do great amazing speed . ruclips.net/user/shortsd-8D8ND8qq0?feature=share
I have an old wifi 5 router from 2018, so I'm looking forward to upgrading

I think he's talking in MB/s not Mbps
Bit ≠ Byte - it's a 8:1 conversion
Does the mesh system have to be from the same brand for it to work?or can you have different brands work together ?
same brand

Is this accurate? Your results for be9300 was better than this be800?

Capital MB in windows is not megabits but MEGABTYTES...!! 200MBPS is equal to 1600mbps....

how much memory and what is the speed of the CPU? I can't find anywhere this info. even TP link won't tell me

Hi this come help full 3 floor house ?
Yes. Depends on the House Size / Sqft.
Where we can buy this?
Walmart, Amazon
5000 SQFT house. Huge.
Can anyone share information about AC Plug? Is a 110/220v ready for Europe (just like Asus router)?
Bro your American accent isn't accenting😂
It is OK. I am British!
Why do your bedroom doors open like that?
😜 Promo-SM
This router is reaching half the theoretical limit of wifi7
Yup.
