Hello ma'am, I recently got admitted into Ashoka University for my Bachelor's degree in Biology. I intent to do research in Neuroscience someday. Since my college session was going to start from August, I was tryinf to seed out the materials to learn Programming for Bio's sake. You, alogn with this video & references exactly solved my query regarding this. For me, Programming is like making a logical brain circuit & hence as a biology student, I find it even more intriguing than a CS student may be! My prime intention is to get a valuable addition to my knowledge & later internship after learning programming. Thanks for the video & keep making the videos!
I was hoping for some more information about how Python would be useful for a molecular biologist interested in data mining. Sorry, but you didn't mention anything that requires knowing how to program. In my 35 years of research there has never been any lack of programs written by actual programmers that do the job I need. There certainly seem to be a ton of sequence analysis and database analysis software out there. What would be an example of something were I wouldn't be reinventing the wheel?
